Karen Sue Morris, daughter of Leo and Faye Eichelberger Roth, was born May 28, 1948, in Broken Bow, Nebraska. She departed this life Thursday, September 2, 2004, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-six years, three months, and four days.

On March 28, 1969, she was united in marriage to Kenneth Morris, and together they shared the last thirty-five years.

Her parents and a niece preceded her in death.

Karen is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth, of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Jennifer Morris, of Mansfield, Missouri; three granddaughters, Kailey, Lexie and Quincee Morris, all of Mansfield, Missouri; a brother, Mike Roth, and his wife, Sandy, of Mansfield, Missouri; a sister, Jackie Linville, and her husband, Kenny, of Broken Bow, Nebraska; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She was born and raised in Nebraska, and graduated from Broken Bow High School in the Class of 1966. She moved with her family to the Mansfield and Seymour, Missouri area in 1968. After she and Kenneth were married, they made their home in the Mansfield community and lovingly raised their son. Besides being a devoted and loving homemaker and mother, Karen also helped Kenneth in the operation of the Mansfield Bowling Alley that they owned from 1976 until 1982. Later, she operated the Sears Catalog Store in Mansfield for a few years.

Karen made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

In her spare time she enjoyed bowling, and also liked visiting with her many friends. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her granddaughters.

Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and many friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2004, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield. Burial will be in the Nancy Newton Cemetery northwest of Mansfield. Visitation will be Saturday evening from 6 - 8:00 under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri.
