Loni R. Leners, 66, of rural Beatrice died at her home on Sunday, April 10, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born June 1, 1949 at Broken Bow and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 1967. She married Jim Rohr and they later divorced. She moved to Beatrice in 1983. She married Lenhart W. Leners on August 30, 1986 at Zion Lutheran Church of rural Pickrell. She worked for American Tool for nearly 20 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Pickrell. She enjoyed bowling and car racing.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Rohr and wife Heidi of Pickrell and Eric Rohr and wife Jennie of Hallam; one daughter, Teresa Snider and husband Dan of Palmyra; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her mother, Georgia Bollwitt of Beatrice; one sister-in-law, Alyce Wallman and husband LeRoy of Adams. She was preceded in death by her father, John Bollwitt; her husband Lenhart W. Leners, who died July 2, 2002; one sister-in-law, Marlene LeSuer.
Private graveside services will be held at Zion Lutheran Cemetery of rural Pickrell with Pastor Jerry Gilbreath officiating. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice from 5:00 P.M. Tuesday until 9:00 P.M. Wednesday. A memorial has been established to the family’s choice. A gathering of Loni’s family and friends to celebrate her life will be held at the Veteran’s Club of Beatrice at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 14, 2016.
