Ironically, John and I were not close at all in HS.. Somehow, we started to communicate in 2009? (probably via FB?) and then we moved to emails..We corresponded pretty regularly and it was a pleasure getting to know him. As so many of you already know, ,he had such a wonderful sense of humor. His writings made three things crystal clear: 1) he loved Eileen, his wife, 2) he loved his life and, 3) he loved living in Ireland. It was heartbeaking to hear that he had passed away so suddenly. He will always be remembered with fondness...

Very true words Colleen. Unfortunately, John and I only reunited about a week before he died. Yes, he very much loved Eileen and the life he had in Ireland. The most uncanny thing about him was both his sense of humor and unbelievable memory for detail. He told me more things about our alumni from 76 than you could read in a newspaper. We laughed and reminisced heartily for over an hour. It was so sad to hear of his sudden passing. If I know John, he's making the Saints all laugh at his Irish wit! Until we meet again, old friend!☘️
