There is only one phrase that I can say which says it all about Diana; She was one of a kind!
Diana and I have been best of friends since our Junior year of high school and our relationship deepened into a 45 year forever unconditional bond. I never knew anyone quite like her and never will. When she died, a piece of me went with her. She was one who never judged, always encouraged, laughed at life and all the trials and tribulations, and carried extreem faith for all she knew and loved. I relied on her for guidance and support as she always seemed to have the right answer and was always honest. She was a superior Mother and Grandmother and my best friend.
She died from complications of liver failure and diabetes after suffering for several years. She now rests at Highland Memorial on Greenfield avenue overlooking the flowers. She had an incredible green thumb. She breathed plants back to life that looked totally dead with her loving hands and took such joy in having many flowers and plants in her gardens at home.
Diana was a person who "knew" what life was really all about. She kept things simple and enjoyed things like watching birds in her feeders, or teaching her granddaughter how to plant a seed; simple joys that costs nothing.
In May she will be gone two years and I still "talk" to her and get tears in my eyes because I miss her so much. My life was truly blessed the day she came into my life and although she is gone, she left me much to remember.
I miss you very much my dear friend and pray you have a special spot in heaven. Someday we will share our "heavenly" friendship again.
