I plan to attend. I missed the last one due to a conflict - it actually was the same weekend as my college reunion. Had to choose. But will make the drive from Indiana this time. The 50th is important - heard it referred to as "life's final exam." Interesting way to think about it

I will be there for sure this time.  I planned to go to the 45th but had just started a new job and didn't think it wise.  But it's not a problem anymore---RETIRED!

Hi everyone.  I live in FL, but do return for summers in WI.  BUT am in Oshkosh.  I dont know that I could be much help being so far away.  I hope something can be organized.

I also am out of state, but hope this 50th can come together. My husbands class had their 50th last summer and      they also had the same issue of not having anyone who could take charge of the big responsibility of organizing it....... So they just posted a date and place in the town their high school was in and people just showed up...it was a great night for all....

Fred mason and I have agreed to be co-chairs of this event. Save the dates Friday September 30th thru Sunday October 2. I live in San Francisco Bay Area and he lives in Denver, so we might need help from people who still live in Brookfield area.

I previously offered my assistance but not as chair. I will be out of town on those dates. Previously we just got together at Marty's Pizza for one and at a hotel for another.

Sounds like everyone left in Wisconsin is busy sitting in their rocking chairs, maybe they need a little Trump in their life to get them jump started.  If there is a reunion we will make the trip from here in Prescott AZ.

If everything works out the dates will be Sept 30-Oct 2nd.  Fingers crossed!

That's great news!  Thanks, John and Fred.  Certainly someone in the Brookfield area can recommend a hotel and restaurant, right?

Hi Everyone.  Hope you're planning on attending our 50th Class Reunion because it's going to be a lot of fun.  John Stewart and I have volunteered to co-host the event and have worked out a few thoughts for the reunion so just want to keep you informed.

Friday, September 30th, Homecoming.  Begin our reunion by having a tour of BCHS sometime in the afternoon.  I know it has changed over the years with a pool being added, new gym, and who knows what else.  It will be fun to see if anyone can find their old locker (and remember the combination?).  Walking the halls ought to be really fun.  Then we hope to attend the Homecoming football game as a group.  Maybe the announcers will even recognize the group.  Then after the game we'll head for Marty's Pizza for anyone who wants to attend.

Saturday, October, 1st.  At some local hotel (location yet to be determined) we'll have a nice dinner probably starting around 7 PM.  We're looking into getting some entertainment/band and maybe some of you can sing or entertain in some fashion.  We'll gather with our significant others and enjoy the evening together remembering the past, telling each other about our terribly successful lives, bragging about our kids, showing off pictures of our cars, pets and grandkids, and introducing our significant others.  We'll figure out a nice menu and will try to keep the cost as low as possible.  I'll try to work with the director of sales at the hotel to see if we can get a special room rate for those of us who are coming from out of town and need a place to stay.

Sunday, October 2nd.  Picnic Time.  Probably around 11AM or so we'll gather at some local park (yet to be determined, and weather permitting) to have a big picnic.  Families will be encouraged to attend.  If there is a ball field close we'll have a pick-up softball game.  Nothing structured yet so we're open for ideas.

We're looking for those of you who live in the Brookfield/Elm Grove/local area to help out since John and I both live out of state.  We'd love to have as many of our classmates attend the reunion as possible and need help locating folks getting the word out.  We'd also appreciate any help anyone who is willing to help with the planning/arrangements.  Many hands make light work, or something like that.  Drop either of us a note and I promise we'll respond.  John Stewart - stewartassocaia@aol.com or Fred Mason - fpmasonco@gmail.com

So, those are the tentative plans.  Hoping to hear from you with your offers to help or ideas.  And looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Fred and John

Jsut so everyone is clear. There is a reunion planned. Fred Mason and I are cochairs. The dates are 9/30 thru 10/2. Fred put out a well written explanation of what we are planning. Friday tour of the school, homecoming game, pizza at Marty's; Saturday dinner dance and Sunday picnic and possible softball game? Need to have everyone confirm ASAP if they are coming and if they are bringing a spouse of partner? Then we can get a hotel lined up for the dance and dinner and a discount for rooms. So excited to see everyone and catch up. If you want to email me send to stewartassocaia@aol.com or call my cell 650-787-2656. Go Lancers!

The hardest part for us out of towners is to pick a restaurant and hotel. Does anyone have a suggestion? Last time we were at a hotel across from Brookfield Square. Anyone remember the name? We need to get this lined up ASAP.

I secured the DoubleTree Milwaukee-Brookfield Hotel at 18155 W. Bluemound Road (262-782-2900) as the headquarters hotel for our 50th Reunion.  The hotel we used 5 years ago wasn't available and the DoubleTree was easy to work with and the best value of the facilities I contacted.

For those of you coming from out of town and not staying with family or friends in the area, I've also negotiated a special room rate for our class of $129 per night beginning on Thursday, September 30 and going through Sunday, October 2 (normal rate is $179 per night).  Just tell them you are part of the BCHS Class of 1966 50th Reunion group and they'll give you the reduced rate when making room reservations (if you have any trouble contact Angela Braun in Catering as she is my POC).

Please share this information with all our classmates and encourage them to participate in the reunion.  We're working hard to make this a momorable event, so spread the word and stay tuned!

Want to help?  Let me know and we'll give you a job.  Thanks to those who have already been helping and to those who have volunteered to assist.

Questions?  Call me and I'll call you back.  My cell is 303-981-2269.  You may have to leave a message, but I WILL call you back.

More to follow about event details, costs, etc. so keep watching the website. This is going to be a lot of fun!

Fred
