Susan and I pal'd around our last couple years of Jr. High and High school. She was very dedicated to her brother and had to grow up way beyond her years to be "mom" around her home. She and I later got an apartment to gether while she was getting her LPN training. We split ways and it wasnt until much later, quite by accident, I found out she died while recovering from a horrific car accident. I was shocked as I knew she was a 'care giver' since forever and the meds she took would lead to her demise.
Sue always had a great sense of humor, smiling every day, despite the horrible mental and physical abuse her father instilled on her. But, like i said, her pride and joy was her brother, and nursing was her chosen career. She told me she helped to deliver Marybelle Sokoly's baby when she worked at St. Mary's. Interesting how paths cross.
She had so much more to offer this world, that I am saddened each time I think of her that she died too soon. Where ever you are Sue, may you be at peace.
