I joined the USAR (United States Army Reserves) in NY right after graduation in 1982 and served two years. Then I joined the USAF (United States Air Force) in 1994 and was sent to V.A.F.B. (Vandenberg Air Force Base) in California. I served almost eight years and then was discharged from Active Duty in 1991, on a General Discharge under Honorable Conditions. I had met my husband who was in the Army, so I requested a discharge. We got married in 1992 and were divorced less than one year later. Then I later enlisted in the CAARNG (California Army National Guard) in 1994. I transferred to the GAARNG (Georgia ARNG) in 1999, and served a total of eleven years. I then requested my retirement in 2005, went to Medical Billing/Coding school, and got employed at a clinic. Starting in 2008, I made the decision to complete my degree that I started at Kingsborough Community College in NY in 1982. So, I'm on my second year at Georgia Perimeter College, on the Honour Program, studying Psychology!

I had only been in America about 2 months
when I started going to Tilden H.S. I was learning America's culture as well as trying to blend in with new people. Those were VERY interesting years!! LOL I used to be a "BOOSTER" for a very short period of time, until my mother put a stop to it. "UH, umgawa, Tilden's got the power, what U gonna do, Tilden's boogaloo!!" Actually, it was my younger brother who reminded me of that chant LAST WEEK. LOL Yes, I did not remember it.
