I received a BS in Geology from WTSU in Canyon, TX in 1977. During my first 12 professional years I was prospecting for oil & gas as an exploration geologist. I left that career in 1989 and spent the next 9 years working as an environmental scientist in the regulated, consulting and governmental sectors. In 1998 I returned to the petroleum exploration business, primarily as a Professional Landman, but also lending assistance and expertise as a Petroleum Geologist.
Personally, after being married for 16 years, I was divorced for 12 before marrying my wonderful wife, Nancy Dunn Bond. In addition to my own sons, I was blessed with three step-daughters. Since our marriage, we have also been blessed with 13 grandchildren (9 boys, 4 girls) and I love being their "Pappy".
For hobbies, I love riding my 2008 105th Anniversary Ltd Edition Harley Streetglide on road trips. I also love to fish and play golf. Luckily Nan loves to participate in all my hobbies (except golf). When the weather cooperates, if we are not taking road trips on the Harley we are out in the boat fishing.
