The cruise and picnic sound good...my only question is: How much is it going to cost me??? :)

Hey everyone!

My vote is for the Miss Buffalo Cruise. Just let me know the date, so I can free up my calendar!

Hi c/o 98,
I like the Miss Buffalo idea but I also think the BBQ in the park might be nice since some people will want to bring their families (I'm sure). What is the capacity of the Miss Buffalo? I know I would like the opportunity to meet everyone's spouses and children. Cost is also important, so let's put the estimated fees per attendee along with the corresponding activities. Finally, the most important factor for me is the date. I need to know asap so I can organize my calendar accoridngly.

I'm really excited to see everyone.

Peace
Marcella

I am pretty sure EJ is coordinating the reunion but I think he was trying to target July 19th for the date. Not sure of costs but I'll contact EJ tonight/tomorrow and see if he has a ballpark figure for the Miss Buffalo. I'll try and have a figure posted here by Monday. I am also pretty sure the Miss Buffalo could only accomodate the class and spouses. Once again not positive but I'll check.

If there is a big demand to include spouses and children then the BBQ in the park may be a better choice. I could look into the cost of having a BBQ catered. I'll also try to have this figure by Monday.

It will be nice to see everyone this summer. Post your preferences so we can get this reunion rollin'!!!!! :)

How about a BBQ during that afternoon and a mixer on Miss Buffalo that night??? Best of both worlds???

Actually, why don't we do all three. Make it a weekend event. Also, is it possible to get a tour of the school? I would like to re-visit it and check out the newly renovated building.

Do we have a date yet?

Hi Folks,
I really want to participate in our reunion but its difficult to plan for when there is little communication. I'm going on vacation in a few weeks (from 7/3 - 7/18) so if the reunion is going to be the 19th I need to know now so I can make arrangements. Come on folks lets not be so last minute with solidifying plans. I really appreciate those who have taken the lead in getting the ball rolling so please lets not let all of these great ideas and well intentions go to waste. I hope to see you al soon.
Marcella :-)

I would like to attend a reunion also. I think we should do it before the summer is over. What about sometime in August. A boat ride sounds nice. Let me know. Maybe some of us could get together and organize something.

Hi everyone, to make it a little easier for us all, I took the liberty of looking up the Miss Buffalo rates for a charter. Those rates are below. Having dinner on the boat is additional. The buffets they have available range from $14.25 per person to $18.75. The number of people who attend will have a great impact on the price we all pay. I think we should start with a concrete number of people willing to attend and the price ranges everyone is willing to pay. Even if we decide not to do the Boat thing, knowing the numbers we are dealing with would be helpful at square one for any event. We could even pool our money with a minimum for everyone, that way the people who can’t make the minimum could be “assisted” by those who could offer more than the minimum. Say the minimum is $20 and I can offer $50 towards the pool, someone who couldn’t offer the minimum would be “assisted” by the “overpayment”. I thought of this because I would really like to see as many people as possible attending wothout worring about possible financial woes. Well, those are my thoughts; I’m looking forward to hearing what everyone else thinks we should do. Have a wonderful day everyone :)

Miss Buffalo II Charter Rates 2008
Capacity ~ 200, Dining Capacity ~ 150
Please note,
Fri. & Sat. Evenings ~ 3 Hour Minimum
.....all other times ~ 2 Hour Minimum

Charters/hour July & August
Mornings $405
Afternoons $455
Sun. - Thurs. Evenings $555
Fri. & Sat. Evenings $895

Hey Everyone...

There is obviously a lot of things up in the air. This is a huge event to try and plan but we finally have things moving in the right direction. To keep it simple as we try to locate and invite almost 300 people we are going with the traditional reunion dinner. A committee is working on the details and we should have infomation soon...looks like October. I don't want to share the date until I'm 100% sure! As soon as I am I will post the date here, on my myspace, and on facebook. Hope all is well with everyone and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone! =)

WE HAVE A DATE!!!!!!!!

Hey Everyone!!

I wanted to announce the official date of our 10 year reunion….SATURDAY, OCOTBER 11th , 2008!! We will be having our banquet dinner Downtown at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. We are also working on getting a tour of Hutch-Tech since it was completely redone. Given that schools are still on vacation it has been difficult to communicate with anyone in order to set up something official; we wanted to let you know that this is a possibility so that you can leave your weekend free. We are hoping for Friday afternoon/evening but keep in mind that it could very well happen on Sunday morning. No official price for the reunion is being released at this point because we are still working on it. It was important for us to share the official date with you as soon as we had it so that you can plan to spend that weekend in Buffalo reminiscing with old friends!! =)

Again, more information and invitations will be coming soon. Included with the invitation will be a response card and information on where and how to send the money for your reservation.

We are still looking for people and contact information so if anyone can help us out in anyway that would be great!!! For those of you who have shared names and addresses with us already….we thank you very much!!

If you have any questions or concerns let us know!!! We are sooooo looking forward to a WONDERFUL weekend!! =)

Its good to see that some planning is in the works for the reunion.I understand that it took a while to get everyone access to one site for communication. I think that we should have planned for the summer so that we would have been able to do more outdoor activites. What other activities will we be doing on this weekend? Are we going to do a 10yr yearbook or some other memorabilia like that? Is there a possibility that we can do the reunion next year? I think that it would allow for more time, preparation and fund raising. I want to attend a full weekend of activities, so the we can have a good time with our old classmates and then our families and children can have a good time too!

Hello Class of 1998
I am so glad that we have a date and things are on a ball. I am currently not close to Buffalo, and due to my family, finances, and obligations I believe if the reunion date was post pond, and move down the road to next summer, then more of the class and those who are not in Buffalo, could have more time to plan for the reunion dates. Please lets consider fact, that only a few people have signed this page, and from then to now we could take that time to contact more people.

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to update everyone on what’s going on with the reunion. We had a small hiccup with the invitations and response cards and that’s why nothing has gone out yet! Everything should be resolved and the invitations should be in the mail by the end of this week. Due to the delay with the invitations, by the time you receive them you won’t have too much time to respond. We truly apologize for that! I want to make sure you have all the information now so that way when you do receive the invitation you can send the RSVP card back right away.

Hutch-Tech Class of 1998 Ten Year Reunion
“Welcome Home”
Saturday, October 11th, 2008
Buffalo Niagara Convention Center
Cocktail Hour 5:30
Registration will begin at 5:30 and stop at 6:30
$60.00 per ticket

Along with your invitation and response card you will receive a letter with further information and a biographical form to fill out. Any information you include on the form will be added to a memory book we are compiling for the night of the reunion. We are also asking people to send us pictures they have from high school. They can be any pictures you have having to do with your time at Hutch-Tech. These photos will be blown up and hung around the hall. Please keep in mind that we won’t be able to use every photo that is sent to us. The easiest way to get the photos to us is to scan them and then email them to me (Alicia). I will include my email below. If you have any further questions or concerns please let us know. I hope this information helps and that you’re just as excited as we are! See you soon!!
