We are still talking about the reunion. Since I had not been to any reunions anywhere, I was not sure what it was going to be like. My wife was astounded at how well everything was handled.
Renee grew up in St. Helena / Napa in California, but when I drove her through the Village of Kenmore, she said it looked just like Napa. She also could not believe how green and lush everything was. As we drove to my cousin's home in Newfane, she kept saying "I can't believe this gets all covered up with snow!"
It was nice to come home, even though I have called Texas home for many years. It was nice to see old friends and acquaintances. It was enjoyable to once again explore the simple pleasures of charcoal broiled hot dogs (Ted's are good but Brinson's were better) and Loganberry, beef on 'Weck, and sitting beside the Niagara River in Tonawanda. (lots of submarine races).
I found out about Larry Kling's Stagecoach salsa, and it really is better than any I have tasted anywhere! And I am fussy about good food.
When I prepare a gourmet meal or dessert, I put my heart into it, because it is one of my many passions. The committee obviously did the same in preparing this reunion, and I have no doubt that other classes will never duplicate what you did. We used to say "Bravo Zulu!" Well done!
