Congratulations to ALL the members of the KWSHS Class of 1964 on providing a scholarship of this magnitude to some deserving senior this coming spring! It typifies the caliber of people we graduated with and I am proud to say I am a member of this class! Thank you to Ron Wheeler as class President for your leadership, not only with the reunion, but throughout the years of your participation in the Alumni Association! We can ALL be proud.

Dick,  you are so right.  Even though Ron didn't want to lead, he did and did an amazing job.  It was an honor for me to work with the committee. What fabulous people.  No wonder we got along so well. It was as though it wasn't 50 years.  I look forward to the Dome July 31.

Dear Classmates,

I just read where we lost John Murphy and I thought I would share that we also recently lost Richard (Dick) Watkins.  He had been living in the Syracuse area for a number of years.

To the members of the class of 1964:

I deeply regret to inform you of the passing last week of Allen “Skip” Grossman at his residence in Poulsbo, Washington.

Skip was admitted to the hospital in October for a minor gastric problem, and while the doctors were contemplating his release he had a heart attack. Twelve days later he was released to his home. After 5 weeks of therapy and walking 1.5 miles a day he was feeling much better.

On Tuesday, December 2, he went to bed and died sometime while asleep of another heart attack. Amazingly, he died 5 days after posting the above message to his classmates.

Pam, Skip's wife, relates that Skip was like a new person after attending the reunion in August. He really enjoyed reconnecting with his old friends - she described him as "buoyant" after the reunion.

If you wish, condolences may be sent to Pam Grossman, 19352 Front St., Poulsbo, WA, 98370, or to pjpgrossman@aol.com.

Rest in peace Skip. You are loved and remembered by several hundred classmates.

To say I'm shocked would be a gross understatement. I had a joyous reunion with Skip at the function and a lot of fun in private communications. He was, truly, one of the shining stars in our graduating class.

I remember having a discussion with my dad sometime in late 70's, and I asked him if he could remember any of the classmates from our class of 64. He perked up immediately and said his all-time favorite student from all the years he taught at Kenmore and Kenmore West was Skip Grossman. That, my friends, is a huge compliment.

Skip, you will be greatly missed. We are so lucky to have had your presence at the 50th. RIP my dear friend. RIP.

I did not make it to the reunion -- much to my regret, but I did exchange emails with Skip.  He seems to have written his own epitaph -- we do have so much to be thankful for.  Skip -- I am very sorry we did not get to meet again in person.  RIP.

Karen

I can't describe how crushed I am upon hearing of Skip's passing. He was so very nice to me at the reunion, and after 50 years to was wonderful to reconnect, if even for a short while. Love what we have, because we'll never know when it'll be taken from us. Good-bye Skip, I will miss you.

I was shocked when I read of Skip's passing!  We had been in several classes together, and a couple of sports. It was wonderful to see him at the reunion.  He is already missed.  He was a good example of a sound mind in a sound body. We will miss you, Skip.

Skip was one of the people I reconnected with as a result of the reunion, and it was a shock -- and a reminder -- to hear of his death. It is too sad for words. It reminded me that I am here temporarily, and it is important to remember the high priorities, especially family and friends.

I was so sad to hear the news of Skip's passing.  Glad he had the chance to see his old friends again.  My sympathy goes out to his wife and family.
