Roy J. Rohla was born April 20, 1948, in Superior, Neb., to Louis Jim Rohla and Edna Irene Parsons Rohla. He died July 13, 1999, in Fort Collins, Colo. Roy received a bachelor's degree in engineering from Kansas State University and was working on a master's degree. 

Roy married Esther Yutzy on March 7, 1969, in Yoder, Kan. They moved to Fort Collins in 1979. 

He was an electrical engineer and plant manager at Rawhide Energy Station for 20 years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where he was a kindergarten Sunday school teacher for 19 years. He also was a member and Paul Harris Fellow of the Breakfast Rotary Club. 

Roy was an avid fly fisherman and loved to fish "the miracle mile." He also enjoyed bow hunting and restoring his 1958 Corvette.

Survivors include his wife; one son; two daughters; his mother; one brother; and two sisters. 
His father preceded him in death.

Burial in the Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetary, Fort Collins, Colorado.
