Jeanette Elaine Riffel (Bauman)

Jeanette Elaine Riffel Bauman, 56, died July 1, 2005 at Oakridge, Oregon.

Jeanette was forn October 16, 1948, at Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Alfred and Betty Williams Riffel.  She received her bachelor's degree in business from Northern Montana University at Harve, Montana and a master's degree in education and curriculum and instruction from the University of Idaho.  A resident of Oakridge for three weeks, formerly of Hutchinson, Ks, Denver, Colo., Power, Mont., Harve, Mont., St. Regis, Mont., and Long Beach, Wash.  She worked as a administrative assistant for an engineering company, Great Falls, Mont., was a teacher at St. Regis High School for three years, taught at Ilwaco High Schol, Ilwaco, for two years and taught GED and business and computer classes at St. Regis.

On Jne 4, 1967, she married Dan Bontrager at Hutchinson.  He died June 1, 1982.  Later, in 1983 she married Dean Baumam at Hutchinson, Kansas.  They divorced in 1998.

Survivors include two sons, Dan Bauman, West Paul, Minn., and Gary Bauman, Toownsend, Mont.; her parnets, Betty and Robert Steele, Hutchinson, Kansas and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father; and her campanion, Stevan Haugen.

Memorial service was at 10:30 a.m. Friday at South Hutchinson Mennonite Church.  Another service was at 1:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Power.  Graveide service at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Memorial Park Cemetary Hutchinson, Kansas.
