Bill Engelhardt

No....but still have some of these. Does that count?

Ohhh funny, but the inserts can count for a bit of nostalgia.

Reputed to be the first 45 rpm, released in March 1949.

We have a jukebox and quite a few collected 45's, but don't remember seeing this one. Looks like it sells for $59.95 today.

Tell ya what, Linda, send me your mailing address (privately) and I'll add to your collection my mint condition copy of Come Go With Me (Jan. 1957). It deserves to be on a juke box.

Bill

Sidebar: My 65-cent Farmer Music copy of Come Go With Me shows the name of the group as The Dell-Vikings. In subsequent albums, it's Del Vikings.

Anyway, to Linda: Glad to hear you have a slot for it on the Worden Wurlitzer.

It is snowing in New Orleans. This global warming is pretty intense.

Also, 32 deg here in Hernando Beach, Florida.  Yuck!  We left the NW for warm weather.  The cold and rain is haunting us!

Yeah, 15 degress in the Florida panahandle and 5 to 6 inches of snow on the ground. New record! Breaks the old record of 3 inches in 1958.

Meantime, back in the Northwest.....sunny, a balmy 41 in Olympia, with a predicted low of 26 Friday and Saturday.

I tell my little feathered ladies every day how happy I am when I find eggs in the nesting boxes; although  this weather isn't helping much on egg production.

A quick look back at old Seattle.

The iconic, statuesque Orpheum Theater at 5th & Stewart. Opened in 1927, fell to the wrecking ball in 1967, replaced by the Washington Plaza Hotel in 1969.

Fun to see the old ads... I am not familiar with these events but I do remember going to Charm School at a department store in Ohio.  Not sure it helped much...
