Without discipline, there is chaos.  That is what is happening now! Shameful!

Personally, I like Gregg's and Virginia's comments much better to Bill's regurgitation of the Seattle Times walkout "protest" article (with the photo of the inflamatory signs the students were presenting to the public and the person taking photos.) It's amazing what the school districts will allow these days in civil unrest and political propaganda movements from any group of social activists around school facilities. This student behavior is strait out of Alinsky's Rules for Radicals manual. We don't need the far left revolution heat to rise higher than it already is and to further endanger public safety in the Seattle metro area for law abiding Northwesterners and visitors. What's your intent of the last two posts, Bill? Yes, decent people who want law and order conditions to prevail in America don't like to see those people who dishonor law enforcement officers' performance of their duties, especially those that are retaliated against and physically attacked by adult insurection acts of violence and lawfare excuses. As an alumni of HHS and a Military Veteran, I FULLY agree that this specific walkout action is undisciplined and shameful in front of our high school. No more "Summer of Love" urban violence will be tolerated by the Feds or true American patriots. That law and order position should be nonpartisan and universal. Peace, not war. I am calm, but very concerned about what Highline's adult "leadership"  and discipline policies seem to have morphed into. Shameful is a good evaluation comment.

And how much is your 'spending money' going to be worth if the banks don't support it and your 'crypto' can't be converted?  I'll give you two loaves of bread for that gold bar.  Better stock up on food, water and some fuel but best prepare yourself with a generator powered by your (by now flimsy) legs!  And have plenty of ammo on hand to protect what you have stockpiled.

Has anyone else been watching 3I Atlas?  I think the date transmitted was 2/17/2031?  What does it mean?

02/06/26 02:16 AM #2372

Al Peffley

No crypto coins or gold bars around here, John. You are right about protecting our preperations "stockpile" and using a very QUIET portable gas-fueled generator like a Honda. If the 72 hours of food supply is not enough, then we will need to have things to barter with (other than mixed currency) for additional supplies. Water purification bottles and filters are a higher priority than food, but the 72 hours of survival food must not need to be refrigerated and be light to transport in a [waterproof] kyak supply travel bag. Camping/hunting skills and cooking equipment are a must have for short term survival. I am CERT qualified for critical emergency incidents and a former warfighter survivability analyst but my body is in poor shape due to a stroke. My wife and I were very athletic when we were younger, but not now...

I am not concerned about "3I/Atlas" because we don't live on Jupter (closest flyby planet). And, according to what I read about the current comet's orbital passage estimate calculations and tracking through our solar system, the passage from earth was estimated to be over 200 million miles away. It passed by our sun in December, 2025, according to NASA's ATLAS Program scientists:https://science.nasa.gov/solar-system/comets/3i-atlas/

You bring up some interesting points about preparation planning and longer term barter considerations. Some gold and silver coins may have some advantage over fiat paper currency notes to buy fuel to travel in the short term to a safer location. Forget the use of debit or credit cards.  Maps will be indispencable to "bug out" IF you can get passage on the roads away from major cities. Plan for major chaos and crime during a critical emergency incident. I worked in regional emergency training exercises for Cowlitz County, WA State Emergency Dept., and the Feds as a subcontractor to PNWER after retiring from Boeing.

It's good to hear from you. Your JD tractor looks awesome!smiley My motorized equipment operation skills are really lacking from my stroke! No more motorcycle riding or boat racing at 80, either.

We stay out of Seattle during these days of unknown street safety conditions, unclean streets from the homeless campers, and potential spontaneous ICE protests. We had one student walkout riot in Issaquah recently. It is a moneymaker for the Allen family and 4th Avenue businesses. I think that "nearly 1 million" parade and trophy celebration attendees is a MSM exageration...Photo credit - Reuters

If I was photographed with a Mexican flag and that disrespectful sign about "teaching" adults  a "lesson" I probably would have been knocked on my butt by my dad (if he were still alive.) Ungrateful Kelso middle school and high school brats... Propaganda BS and poor citizenship enabled by the local school's administration. Trump was never found guilty of a felony. The Kelso Police said that if they blocked traffic they would be arrested. This is organized on social media, not spontaneous. In our day we would probably have been expelled if we pulled this embarrassing stunt during school hours.

I thoroughly enjoy the lightheared and reminicent posts that Bill keeps us entertained with. Thank you Bill for all that you post. We all can use a bit of humor.

I enjoy hearing how classmates are doing, am sad to hear of the passing of classmates, and like to hear of how our almamater and old Burien stomping grounds are doing.  It's good to hear from classmates that have scattered throughout the country and those that have remained close.

Thank you to all that keep us informed on the subjects above.

Blessings to everyone as another year rolls by.

Every once in a while I catch up on H.H.S. posts and was a bit taken aback by Al's Peffley's comments.  As we learned many years ago, not all of us think alike!

Thank goodness for the "few influential teachers" instructing tomorrow's voters in Highline classrooms today!  Their dedication is important!  And in my humble opinion, far more consequential than football games.

The few influential (not to mention highly educated) people who dared to take a stand in the 1770's caused the birth of a great nation.  Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Hamilton, Franklin... (You know the names.) gave us a Republic and the youngsters who were recently discounted by Peffley are learning to keep it!  God bless them!  They make me proud to be a graduate of Highline High School.

My Britannica dictionary defines treason as "betrayal, treachery, or breach of allegiance or of obedience toward the sovereign or government.  Treason against the the United States is declared by the Constitution (Article 3, section 3 ..."  Those who choose to use the term may wish to be sure they understand the meaning of the word.

Those students are guaranteed the right to "peaceably assemble".  I do not believe "treason" was involved in the instance cited, and I applaud their courage and concerns.

I retracted the "[treasonous]" insert, but the rest of the text was not edited. Obviously, Bill's posting of the students in front of HHS brought almost immediate responses from several of the people who often post comments to this Message Forum. I welcome constructive comments and respectful, open debate. I do have strong views about law and order enforcement. The frequency of violence in our society seems to be increasing with the illegal immigration impacts on our civilization. It is alarming to me, especially seeing the negative impact to the youth of America.  I am tired of the name calling by the people who enabled this violence and civil unrest. It is far different to give a message to your neighbors demanding change constructively versus posting inflamatory statements that disrepect our laws and adults' desire for civil order in accordance with our established laws. Without commitment to the existing laws there is chaos. I SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT. LE officers and agents are humans who CONSTANTLY face dangerous situations -- it's part of the job, but they are not perfect; they act as they are trained to respond. The demonic nature of attacks against LE should be of concern to all decent people, no matter their age, source of morals, or cultural origin. Radicalization of children by non-American revolutionaries is the issue we all should be concerned about, Not censoring each other on this website. We cannot have a contitutional republic without accountability, with or without Bill's entertainment/political cartoons. I also enjoy the majority of Bill's posts. I admit the HHS walkout post photo "triggered" me into the responses I posted.

Nearly half of ICE arrests in Washington state involve people with no criminal records, yet resources are spent uprooting law-abiding immigrants. This is terrorism.

Blind refugee abandoned by Border Patrol is dead
Nurul Amin Shah Alam, a Rohingya refugee from Burma, was nearly blind and spoke no English. He was dropped off by agents in Buffalo on the other side of town from his home. His family was not notified of his release. Police are investigating.

This is a developing story. It was last updated at 7:20 p.m.
Nurul Amin Shah Alam, a nearly blind refugee from Burma who Border Patrol agents dropped off at a doughnut shop Thursday and left to find his way home, 5 miles away, has been found dead.
City Hall spokesperson Ian Ott said Shah Alam, 56, was found by B District officers after they responded to a call for a dead body on the first block of Perry Street shortly after 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
“Mr. Shah Alam was identified by the Erie County Medical Examiner earlier today and his family was subsequently notified,” Ott said in a statement.
Homicide detectives, Ott said, “are investigating the circumstances and timeframe of events leading up to his death, following his release from custody.”
Ott said the cause of death was determined by the medical examiner to be “health related in nature,” ruling out death by exposure and homicide.
“I’m devastated, and I’m very frustrated,” said Imran Fazel, an advocate for Rohingya refugees who knows the family. “We never thought anyone would experience anything like this since coming to the United States. It doesn’t make me feel safe in a country like this.”
Shah Alam, a Rohingya refugee, had been missing since February 19. He was released that afternoon from custody at the Erie County Holding Center after posting bail. In response to an immigration detainer that had been placed on him, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office contacted U.S. Border Patrol prior to his release, according to spokesperson Christopher Horvatits.
Benjamin Macaluso, a Legal Aid Bureau attorney representing Shah Alam, said Border Patrol agents picked him up at the Holding Center at 4:39 p.m. Thursday.
Shah Alam was released on bail, Macaluso said, after he had agreed to a plea deal with the Erie County District Attorney’s office. Shah Alam’s guilty plea to charges of trespassing and possession of a weapon — a curtain rod he used as a walking stick — allowed him to “clear” the detainer and avoid detention by ICE or another immigration agency, Macaluso said.

After taking custody of Shah Alam, Border Patrol agents dropped him off at a Tim Hortons on Niagara Street in the Black Rock neighborhood, Macaluso said, shortly after 8 p.m. Shah Alam and his family live in the Broadway-Fillmore neighborhood on the East Side, according to Fazal.
A spokesperson for Border Patrol, in a statement Wednesday evening, said after agents determined Shah Alam was not supposed to be in their custody, they “offered him a courtesy ride, which he chose to accept to a coffee shop.” That Tim Hortons, the spokesperson said, was “determined to be a warm, safe location near his last known address, rather than be released directly from the Border Patrol station.”
“He showed no signs of distress, mobility issues, or disabilities requiring special assistance,” the spokesperson said in the statement.
Agents, however, did not notify Macaluso or Shah Alam’s family of his release to the coffee shop. Macaluso previously told Investigative Post he expected Shah Alam to be taken to the ICE detention center in Batavia and that his client would be released from there.
Instead, Macaluso and Shah Alam’s family spent Friday through Sunday searching for him. Macaluso opened a missing persons case with Buffalo police on Sunday, he said.
As Investigative Post reported Tuesday, Special Victims Unit detective Richard Hy closed the case for several hours Monday in the mistaken belief Shah Alam was in custody at ICE’s detention facility in Batavia. The case was subsequently reopened.
Michael Niezgoda, a spokesperson for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the parent agency of Border Patrol, did not immediately respond Wednesday to an inquiry from Investigative Post. Kara Kane, a spokesperson for the Erie County Medical Examiner, declined to release information about Shah Alam’s cause of death.

Shah Alam had been in the Erie County Holding Center since February 2025 after being arrested by Buffalo police. On February 15 last year, he had been out for a walk in his neighborhood and had been using a curtain rod he purchased as a walking stick.
Nearly blind and with no ability to speak English, Shah Alam got lost and ended up on the porch of a woman’s home as she was letting her dog out, according to Macaluso. Shah Alam is completely blind in one eye and can only see with blurry vision for several feet in the other, according to Macaluso.
The woman called police, Macaluso said. When Shah Alam did not follow police commands to drop his curtain rod, they Tasered and beat him, then arrested him, Macaluso said. The officers suffered minor injuries in the scuffle, he said.
Shah Alam was charged with offenses including assault, trespassing and possession of a weapon. Macaluso said Shah Alam’s family opted to not bail him out of the Holding Center for fear he would end up detained by ICE out of state.
The plea deal reached recently allowed Shah Alam to be released on bail without ICE detention, Macaluso said.
Shah Alam’s death comes just 15 months after his arrival in Buffalo in December 2024. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Laws are created, promulgated, and established at city, county, state and federal levels, and well documented for all to read and understand. Unlike civil law legal matters, if you break the law and get arrested for breaking that law you are defined as a criminal in America. All immigrants who receive a hearing and defy the nation's laws are defined an illegal alien criminal. By law they are arrested and deported in any nation who has restrictive immigration laws. Immigration law can only be changed by legislative branches of our government system. WE vote for our legislature members. Crimal Law is enforceable unless the government leadeship decides to "look the other way". Break the law and you become accountable to receive the defined punishment, or in your example, deportation consequences. No matter what religion or culture you identify with the cultural laws are established to provide the citizenship safety, jobs, and civil order rules to abide by to keep decency and customs (according to established cultural behavior and good living norms). If you don't like the rules of our society, then vote for different federal/state politicians or move to another country location. Every nation has laws against what are documented illegal activities. You are a ciminal if you don't follow the laws and violate their terms and conditions. Take a law class to understand our civilization's types of rules and enforcement methods that are well docuented and described. Civil law (between two parties) and Criminal Law are very well defined in our America. If you are not a recognized "citizen", then you are a "visitor" and must still follow our laws or be removed from our culture.  Every nation I have visted on earth has laws defining criminality and enforcement rules that I had to follow. America is no different about who is a citizen and who is defined as a "visitor". Nationality is different than race or religion norms or judgement systems. We have a Constitution that is unique in the world that is not always compatible with other cultures' laws and visitation policies. If you think our immigration laws are unusual in the wiorld, then try to enter Canada, Spain, Mexico, or Brazil without the required paperwork or an accepted reason to cross their national borders to transact, buy property, vote, and/or get a job to support yourself.

BREAKING NEWS    Persia is now [somewhat] free from its radical Shia Islam dictatorship oppresors. Pray that they reestablish a stable empire of honor, PEACE, and strength in the Middle East again, and that the resulting new Persian government joins the "Abraham Accord". The Sunni branch of Islam (like the Saudis) will be hopefully free from Shiite attacks on Mecca, Medina, and the Saudi oil fields. Radical Islam terrorist gangs have lost their primary sponsor. Israel took out the leadership compound. Our forces took out the Iranian military offensive aviation and ballistic missile retaliation sites aimed mostly at Iran's arabic neighbors and our Middle East, US Military forward deployment bases. Persia was the site of Islam's split into two branches according to the first website below. The official calendar of the Persians goes all of the way back to Achaemenid Empire (King Cyrus) times. I am very fond of traditional Persian food and I worked on the Iranian Command Post Program at Boeing before the Shah's government (the Pahlavi Dynasty) fell to a Shia takeover Coup in the late 1970's. The beginning and cultural rich history of the ancient Persian [Achaemenid] Empire is presented in the second reference below.
