Remember being in the portables when the big earthquake hit. Mr. Lemmon told us in his deep voice. Be calm, we're having an earthquake. Get under your desks! I remember other students saying that the cement overhang on the football field was waving like a bird's wing! I also remember the day we were told that Kennedy had been assassinated. We were all in shock, wandering around in disbelief.
I also remember Mrs. Ruud who taught us Latin. She was such a good teacher because she really loved Latin!! I loved singing in the choir and remember Ric Westhoff and John Bailey particularly. Ric and I would slug each other in the stomach to show how tough we were!
