My dearest friend and co-worker, Carol Larson, recently died. We "lived" across the hall from each other and frequently ran back and forth sharing laughs and experiences. I've never had a more dear friend whom I could equate to a sister. Carol was probably the best teacher I ever knew. Dahl Reed was second. I tried so hard to emulate them but could never measure up to Carol's fantastic rapport with students. This was her gift and it affected so many students throughout their lives. She also affected me and it was all good. I grieve for the loss of my dearest friend and know her students also grieve. She was a blessing to all of us.
