Died when the vehicle he was driving went off the road into a gravel pit on the highway 27 between Burley and Oakley. He had been delivering office supplies.
His cheerful, easy laugh
And his always present smile.
The twinkle of his eyes
Made everything worthwhile.
The mischievous tricks he pulled
And the little things he did,
Made everyone feel better
And glad that he had lived.
His quick industrious mind
And extraordinary array of talents.
Would put things aright when they were off
And keep everything in balance.
This was the friend we knew and loved so well.
We miss him now,
And mourn his loss,
Far more than words can tell.
But we should always feel privileged
To have known him for awhile.
Because he was that sort of person
For whom you'd walk the extra mile.
So we'll keep these precious thoughts of him
Nearest to our hearts,
For in these halls of Burley High,
Mike has left his mark.
