
BURLEY — Lynn D. Dille, 60, of Burley, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, after a two-year struggle with cancer.
He was born July 10, 1952, the son of Lewis K. and Edith Irene Davis Dille. Lynn graduated from Burley High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management from Boise State University. Lynn spent his adult life working in construction.He was a brick and stone mason before attending college and later became an estimator and project manager in Boise. He was most proud of his work for Micron and for the Idaho State Capitol restoration and expansion of 2007 to 2009. Lynn loved all types of music, was an accomplished pianist as a youth and taught his sons to love music as well.
Lynn is survived by his parents of Burley; his children, Mason Levi (Jenni) Dille of San Francisco, Calif., and Patrick Lynn (Lauren) Dille of Lynnwood, Wash.; his siblings, Larry D. (Sandi) Dille of Tremonton, Utah, Neil D. (Brenda) Dille of Burley, LuRene Dille of Chanhassen, Minn., and Ron D. (Karen) Dille of Ogden, Utah; and 21 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his brother, Daryl D. Dille.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 1350 E. 16th St. in Burley, Idaho.
The family expresses gratitude to MSTI in Twin Falls, to Highland Estates and Horizon Hospice and to Lynn’s many friends and family for the care and friendship he received during the last two years.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Mountain States Tumor Institute Cancer Fund, c/o St. Luke’s Magic Valley Health Foundation, P.O. Box AK, Twin Falls, ID 83303, to help with ongoing cancer research and care.
