PAUL -- Jaylynne Kaye Twiss, 69, went peacefully to be with her Father in Heaven on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
Jaylynne was born April 5, 1945, in Tooele, Utah. She was the daughter of Billie L. and Virginia Vandever and Jay Williams. She graduated from Minico High School in 1963. Immediately following, she went on to college at Brigham Young University, where she received a bachelor's degree in psychology. Jaylynne was a lover of education and, later in life, went on to receive her master's in special education from the University of Idaho and her master's in business administration from Northwest Nazarene University. She married Max Twiss on June 27, 1969, in Paul, Idaho. Five children later came and were blessed to join this union.
Jaylynne was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has a love for her Father in Heaven that few people do and an unshakeable faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ. She had an enormous appreciation for the arts. She loved any production from theater to community concerts. She was an avid supporter of projects all around the community and enjoyed being the star on occasion. She loved music and the ability it had to move people.
Jaylynne was a teacher, a professional motivational speaker and a mom. Through these professions, she had the opportunity to travel the world and touch countless lives. Jaylynne was a selfless individual. She had the ability to make everyone around her feel special. She loved her life here on this earth. She carried her burdens with a positive attitude regardless of how heavy the burden may have been. She never complained and always counted her blessings. I had Mrs Twiss my senior year. I will just say she made school fun, learning likable and was always happy and upbeat. It has been over 44 years since I last saw her but I can still remember her as if it was yesterday. She loved a good joke and played a few on people. I remember when her husband came to school to pickup her 1967 Ponitac to put new tires on it and she decided to play a joke on him. She left the class room and went to the office and called Max and told him that she had called the police because someone has stolen her car. (She new all along that Max picked it up.) She came back to class with a smile on her face knowing she got him. I am sure she was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed. Rest in peace until we have a grand BHS reunion in heaven.
