Obituary

Charlotte Diane Allen McClain passed away Saturday, March 28, 2009. Charlotte was born March 26, 1955, in Lamar, Minnesota to Charles Christopher and Carolyn Dolore Miller. Charlotte was married to James Frank Allen. Out of this marriage, came two loving children, Shantel Loraine and John Frank. They were later divorced. Charlotte and James had two older homes moved to their property east of Rupert, where they spent every extra hour totally remodeling and making these two homes into one home. Charlotte constructed rock fireplaces, laid carpet, varnished and installed wood pillars.

Charlotte was very involved in raising her two children, supporting and backing them in all their activities. She was a home person, baking every week and working in her garden. She loved to crochet and do ceramics as well as fishing and being outside. She was the store manager of Thursdays in Twin Falls and also managed the Buhl Thursdays store before it closed.

Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Shantel Rollis of Buhl; and her son, John Allen of Eugene, Oregon. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Nicholas, Charlotte, Gage, Collet and Catlen. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, at the Buhl LDS Church on Main Street in Buhl. Services are under the direction of White Mortuary "Chapel by the Park."

There will be a viewing at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, and one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

The family suggests that donations to help assist with any costs of the services be made to White Mortuary, P.O. Box 845, Twin Falls, ID 83303.

Admin Staff Comment:  Diane went by the name Diane Rector in her Sophomore and Junior years in high school. In her Senior year, she decided to go by the name Miller because her mother had remarried. Diane's name changes, however, didn't end there. Upon her death, her name was Charlotte Diane Allen McClain.
