Kristin Desimone Barrera

After H.S I went to Holy Cross College for a short time. I became very ill when away at school, and spent the majority of my time between the ages of 19 and 23 in hospitals. I struggled and fought hard to overcome my illness and eventually earned a BSN from Framingham State College. I am now a nurse manager/ supervisor working in Bedford,Mass. at a very nice CCRC. I love nursing and cannot imagine doing anything else. I have special interests in hospice care and end of life issues.

I married David Worthington from Natick, Ma. in 1997. We were married approximately 7 years. I am now divorced and remarried to a great guy who is not only a wonderful husband but an amazing dad to my two children. We were married May 2011 and now live down in Plainville ,MA. I absolutely love it!!!

Holy Cross for one year. A stint at St. Anselm's, not even sure of the year , as I was pretty ill at that time. I eventually was well enough to live at home and commute to Framingham School of Nursing and Framingham State College where I earned my BSN. I dream of going back to school for an advanced degree. Right now, that still remains a dream. But, there is nothing better than making a dream come true!
