Since 1984, I graduated in 1989 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a BS in Physics. (Mr Hobart Cook inspired me). I wanted to join the space program so moved to Florida in 1989. I met my husband, John, of 17 years, at the Space center. We have two beautiful children, twins - Ashley and Carter. We live in Mims (I'm a real country girl) with 6 acres, 3 horses, 4 dogs and 3 cats. It's great living! I am a civil servant now, working for NASA, as the lead System Software Product Group engineer for the next Launch Control System (LCS) that will launch the next space vehicles (part of the Constellation program). I have been a Girl Scout leader for over 4 years now with my daughter. My husband also works at the Space Center and is a lawyer on the side. We have a huge extended family with 3 daughters of his own of which they have children and with a couple of them old enough to have their own kids. So holidays are very busy around here but it's great!
