I graduadted from Alamance Community College in 1991 with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. I then transferred to UNC-Charlotte and received a B.S. in Criminal Justice in 1993. Following graduation I began teaching Criminal Justice for Alamance Community College. I taught for nine years, took a short break, and returned in January 2008. In addition to teaching classes at Alamance Community College, I have also taught Huskins classes through ACC in the area high schools. These classes allow students to get high school and college credit through dual-enrollment. This has by far been one of my most rewarding challenges. It is extremely fulfilling to work with today's youth. I also did investigations with child abuse for a little over a year. I have taken classes towards a Masters Degree at UNC-G but have not completed the required hours. I married Lee McCormick in 1995 and we had a beautiful little girl, Miranda Faith, in January 2000. In 2000, we also opened a Personal Training Studio in Burlington. My husband operates the business on a full-time basis and I work there when my schedule allows. We have truly been blessed with a successful business. In 2006, I competed in the Burlington Bodybuilding Championship and won my weight class and the overall show. I'm not sure who I shocked more, myself or everyone who knows me. It was a lot of hard work but a welcomed challenge. Life has been full of a lot of rewards and equally as many challenges but I wouldn't change anything and I can't wait to see what lies ahead. I do have one question for everyone, can you believe it has been 20 years since we graduated from Cummings High School?!?
