LOL Mr GWF Bates! Bless his heart. He made me stay after school and 'skeet' his windows for 'snigglin' in class. :P

LOL @ Sandy. He used to point with his arm and say "stop that snigglin'. Classic stuff.

Karen D. Howe (Ezzell)

Hi All,
With much regret, I will not be able to attend the reunion. Brad I will try to send you a better picture of myself so you can post it at our 40th reunion :)

******Now this is important******

I have been keeping up with Rhonda Long since high school. She lives in her own little apartment (through Ralph Scott Assisted Living Homes) in Burlington. I have been talking with Terrie Gattis. Terrie works at Ralph Scott Homes and may bring Rhonda by the Reunion Saturday night. Please be on the look-out for her. She would LOVE to see you all. She is still in a wheelchair and she was recently diagnosed with diabetes, so she has lost a lot of weight however, she still has the same big smile, big laugh and a good memory.

I just wanted to give you all a "heads up".She has not seen most of you since her car accident in high school, so this will be very special for her.

Lots of love to you all and hope you have a great time! I hope I will get to see you at the next reunion we have.

I can't sleep! Can you tell?

Sorry to hear about you not being able to attend Karen. Was looking forward to seeing you again.

We'll be on the lookout for Rhonda at the reunion and hopefully she will be able to come. Thanks for the info.

Keep in touch.

Thanks Brad. Me too. I think this may be the best reunion yet! I could not sleep either last night. I really enjoyed reading all the things you and Bob have written. It brought back some great memories for me.Thanks so much for sharing. You guys are the best!

I am so excited that Rhonda may show up there. This will be a night she will never forget and possibly the highlight of her life since her accident. She has been through so much. I know you all will shower her with love and she really needs that! I hate I will miss her face light up when she sees you all!
Take care.

Oh Karen, sorry you can't make it. Can you make it to the football game Friday night? I'll be sure to say hi to Rhonda and hope she can make it. I have great memories of you and how sweet you were in our years at WHS.

Ok I'm back on the "car thing" again.

I'll try to remember the best I can...
Correct me if I'm wrong...or if I don't mention your car.

Randomly:

Marcus Dameron- Blue '74 Camero with a white top
The Milligan Boys: Gold 65 GTO "Batmobile"
I spoke with Carole Simnor...she had a big grey Caprice-
Cheryl Watson drove a classic do you remember her '63 Red plymouth Valiant Convertible?
I drove what ever my parents were willing to take a chance with until I saved my money and bought a '69 Ford Galaxie 500 Carolina Blue.
Marshall/Michael Rudder Maroon with white top 65 Oldsmobile 442. It said "Rocket" on the engine! One of the fastest cars at school.
Mark Youngblood: Blue VW... don't know the year.

There were alot of VW's...Blood? Can you give the list of VW drivers?

Remember Frank Gentry's gold car? More importantly, do you remember how he drove with his head tilted? LOL!!!
John Starr- 72 Yellow Pinto
Rick Schneeman- Drove his moms Buick Regal White/w red interior until he bought his Datsun...
Anwar Nicola-- 72 Green/green interior Ford station wagon
(Mean green dragon machine)
Bobby Wilson- Drove his moms carolina blue station wagon until he bought his four door grey toyota?

I can almost remember Maria Remberts car...I'm wanting to say it was black and also a classic.
I remember Melanie Reids family owning a Pacer! I thought she was so cool.

Thats all I can think of right now...

lol

I believe Don Milligan still owns that GTO. He had it at one reunion and it was absolutely gorgeous.

I forgot about Melanie's Pacer....lol.

Derek had a VW....always had a dead battery for some reason. He would usually park it in the traffic circle.

Jere Butler had a white VW that didn't have a reverse. He always had to park it facing out.

I had a blue VW my parents bought for me from Battleground Wrecker Service for $500. Had it a week and had to put a new engine in it for $625. That made a lot of sense! Eventually the mufflers rusted off of it and it was real loud. I thought it was cool though. After that, my parents bought me a 1967 Firebird that somebody backed into at football practice and caused the hood to not be able to be raised. Battery went dead and couldn't open the hood without really screwing up the front end. My parents then gave me my brother's green 1968 Firebird. I wish I had that car today.

Chris Perry had a red TransAM that would absolutely fly. I swear I felt it leave the ground one day while riding in it.

Doug Slack had a light blue Dodge Colt.

Blake Pardue had a big 4 door guzzler that could hold about 20 people.

That's all that comes to mind right now. Someone else fill us in on the others.
