After graduating from UNC-CH in December 1983, I moved to Greensboro and began my career at the High Point location of Dixon Hughes PLLC, a CPA firm with offices throughout the Southeast, where I am currently serving as an audit partner. I am one of the few people I know that have remained at their first job out of college (not saying that is necessarily good or bad, just an anomaly these days). I met my ex-husband, David Thompson (not the NCSU basketball player, although I do have a picture of the two of them together) in 1990 and married in 1995, and just recently divorced. We did not have children, but have two crazy dogs that are just like children, although I don't have to worry about sending them to college etc, but they do seem to require alot of my attention. Spent the past 30 years traveling, playing USTA league tennis, playing golf, exercising, gardening, and over-committing myself in volunteering for various charitable and civic organizations, although I can't say that I regret any time that I have spent in that capacity as all have been worthy causes. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion in August. Of course, they would ask the bean counter to keep up with the money!
