Keith Surber

After graduation from Williams High School in 1980, I attended Appalachian State University, and finished in 1984. I worked for an equipment rental company from 1984 to 2005. The owner closed our location, and I worked through Manpower Temporaries, until March 2006. I then began working at Lowe's Home Improvement in Burlington.
I have enjoyed a few trips over the last few years. I got to attend my niece's wedding in Jamaica several years ago (after all, "somebody" had to video the wedding.) The last two years, I have been on Carnival cruises, the first to the Western Caribbean, and last year to the Eastern Caribbean.

I was one of the photographers for the Doe Wah Jack yearbook staff my junior and senior years. That was about as far and wide of extracurricular activities I participated in.
I suppose one memory of high school was having Senor John Temple as Spanish teacher. He was arm wrestling one of the football player students one day, and the student broke Mr. Temple's right arm. So, for the rest of the school year, he was having to write left-handed, and I have his left-handed signature in my yearbook!
