Went to UW for 2 years, but graduated in 1992 from WWU. Started work at Skagit State Bank as a loan officer and spent 11 years there. I've been to Guatemala, Honduras, UK, Germany, Austria, France, Cape Verde Islands, South Africa (where I proposed to the future Mrs. Bishop in 2005), and Tahiti (our honeymoon in Aug07). For the past three years I've been the President and Chief Credit Officer at Summit Bank, which my family started/acquired in 2005. I've been coaching youth soccer for the past couple of years when I have spare time away from the bank. I met my wife Patti (Hanson) in 2003. We were married in August 2008. She was a Realtor but currently is in the private note buying business. We live in Burlington, in fact, I bought the house I grew up in.
