Carl W. Heck
Carl W. Heck, 66, of Butler died Friday at his home.
He was born on Oct. 17, 1946, in Butler, and was the son of Carl W. and Martha Jane Vidmar Heck.
He had worked in the metal shop at AK Steel, retiring after 14 years. Previously, he owned his own company called Helping Husbands for Hire in Dallas, Texas, for 20 years.
He was a member of the Community Alliance Church in Butler.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He enjoyed collecting toys, fishing, music and being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by one son, John D. (Lori) Heck of Renfrew; one daughter, Regina Mae Heck of Butler; two grandsons, Brannon Gerber of Butler and Jonathan Carl Heck of Renfrew; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Heck of Renfrew. Also surviving are his mother, Martha Jane Heck, and two sisters, Vickie Lee Costa of Frisco, Texas, and Becky (Dana) Miller of Butler.
He was preceded in death by his father.
HECK - Friends of Carl W. Heck, who died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., in Butler from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
