JOHN E. ×JACK× HEINZER Mr. John E. ×Jack× Heinzer, age 60, of Marietta, GA died Monday, June 18, 2007. A native of Butler, PA, he was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Norman H. Heinzer. A 1964 graduate of Butler High School, Mr. Heinzer served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He attended Butler County Community College and the University of Akron, where he studied electronics. Mr. Heinzer had a lengthy career in facilities management. Mr. Heinzer's passions were his grandchildren, computers and technology, the Discovery Channel and his dogs, Sophie and Rodney. An accomplished craftsman, he was truly a ×Jack of all Trades.× Mr. Heinzer was also an avid Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves supporter. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Mr. Heinzer is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marcia Wellner Heinzer; son, Michael Heinzer of Woodstock, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Bruce Sills of Mableton, GA; granddaughters, Katherine Grace and Ellie Jane Sills; brothers, Norman H. Heinzer, Jr. of Milford, MA; Thomas L. Heinzer of San Jose, CA; sisters, Evelyn Cooper of Lawrenceville, GA; Norma Jane McDonald of Gibsonia, PA; Anita Ritzert and Nanci Scruggs, both of Kennesaw, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 22 at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Ron Grunke officiating. Memorial tributes and condolences may be posted by visiting www.mem.com. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Cobb County, 148 Fairground Street, S.E., Marietta, GA 30060. Arrangements by H.M. Patterson & Son, Canton Hill Chapel, 1157 Old Canton Road, N.E., Marietta, GA 30068.

Gary Tonini

Jack and I had so much fun is study hall, he would always make sounds and be sure to blame me for making them.  I cannot count how many times I got in touble and he would just laugh.  Jack was always a nice guy and fun to be around. RIP Jack
