Dean always had a cheerful disposition.  I don't think I ever saw him with that big, wide grin.  He and Bill Hulton and Al Weber and Bud Youkers and I were often playing tennis.  We were none of us all that good, so we were pretty evenly matched, I guess.

Dean was a teacher and I suspect his classrooms were cheerful places.  I will miss his grin at the next reunion.

One of the nicest persons I knew as a grade school/high school friend. Always seemed to be happy and enjoyable to be around. I'm sure he turned into a wonderful man. I always enjoyed his last name, very unique.
