School Story:
While I did not graduate with the rest of you from Butte High, I did attend Whittier Elementary and East Jr High. I made a lot of friends who I remember fondly.
In my first week living on St Anne’s street, I still remember the red headed kid’s head popping over our fence, yes, Mitch Foster. I was devastated to hear about him and my condolences go out to all.
I want to give a shout out to all the kids we hang out with playing kick the can, Kenny, Dana etc. I still remember venturing out past the 4 block limit to 7-11 and seeing others who were miles from their kick the can game too!
Marcus Courtney and I struck up a great friendship at East Jr High which took us on adventures around the NW. Fate brought us back together at Microsoft 10-15 years later where we worked on the same team. I really enjoyed my junior high years together with Marcus and the rest of the gang.
Since leaving Butte, I graduated from high school in Yakima, WA, went to college at WSU and entered the lucrative world of waiting tables and bartending. After meeting my wife and settling down with a child I moved to insurance sales and then to my now current home, Microsoft.
