Well, where to begin....so after graduating high school and business college and settling in to a real job, I married Ricky Hegwood, whom I had dated for over a year and grew up with. We were married 7 years before our beloved son, Chase, was born. Then in 1992, we divorced and Chase and I moved to Ft. Worth, TX where job opportunities were much better. In 2003, Chase went off to school and I took a job with a company in Memphis, TN which brought me closer to home. I'm still here but really don't like Memphis. At least I'm closer to my siblings still in the Jackson, MS area. As most of you know, I am the oldest of 8!!!! I do make the trip to Jackson often to visit my sister and brothers and "talk" to my parents. My dad died in 1992 of colon cancer and my beloved mom died of lung cancer in April 2008, which is still tough! Chase's dad (my ex-Ricky) killed himself in 2006. I have been employed with Hilton Worldwide for 10 years as a Contract Administrator. Even though I dislike Memphis, I do love my job. Married a local Memphian, Jon Taylor in July 2007. He was killed in an automobile accident May 2012. As so many of us have done, I reconnected with alot of friends from high school via Facebook. One in particular was Dale Turnage who I went to school with the one and only year I went to Central High in Jackson. He and began talking and became very good friends. I finally decided I was ready to "date" again and Dale and I had a dinner date and later a movie. It was obvious from the moment we got together that we were indeed soulmates. We became engaged in June 2013 and married this past March 29, 2014 in Orange Beach, Alabama. We are so in love and very happy. He sold his home in Mize, MS and moved to Bartlett, along with his 16 year old son, Christopher....yes, I have a teenage step-son....LOL. He also left United Piping in Jackson after almost 30 years and went to work for Simplex-Grinnell in Memphis.....a must better position, pay and benefits! We have now settled into a nice, family life just enjoying each other, Christopher and of course our 4, soon-to-be 5, grandbabies. (I have 3 and he has 1 and 1 due in August).
