Martha Vande Guchte Veldstra

I spent one year abroad. Then attended Calvin college and graduated with a bio/chem degree. I worked as a clinical laboratory scientist for 4o years-one year in Michigan and 39 in California. My husband & I raised three wonderful boys. All three attended Calvin college and now two of them live in Michigan. So if you meet a Veldstra in Michigan they are probably related to me!

I don’t remember a lot about high school except that I really enjoyed attending South Christian. I’m so thankful that Mary and I weren’t the only ones who had a parent working/teaching at South Chr! I loved the marching band, attending sports games, and I let Mary attend the parties! Glad I wasn’t home when she had the party at our house. Who kicked in one of the doors in the basement?

Anyone want to guess which classmate I see/talk to the most?

Second would be Meike because I lived with her for a year after high school. I also had two exchange students from Germany, one in 2004-2005, and one in 2007-2008. I have been blessed to remain in contact with the two ‘girls’ and their families; and Meike and her sisters.
I’m also in contact with Marcia Stellema. She visited when her daughter first moved to CA and we’ve kept in contact since then.
I did see Larry Fryling and his wife when he preached in my church (Escalon CRC in Escalon,CA) a few months ago.

My husband and I took a delayed honeymoon and spent a month in Europe before we moved to California. We stayed with his sister in Groningen, NL but then spent two weeks visiting my 'family' and classmate Meike in Germany and on to Austria, France, Belgium and returned broke to his sister!

I would like see more of the United States.
