Pearl Chow (Abel)

I'm just wondering why some people aren't added to the class list like Margaret Der, Linda MacIntyre, June Graham (deceased), John Graham, Jennifer Clarke, Pauline Leong.  Probably way more but my brain isn't thinking right now ; )

Hello Pearl.  We hope you will help us locate some of those names that you are wondering about.  Anybody that you know of, please help add them to our website.  Thanks.  Steve.

Hello Carolyn.  Are you still looking for your friend Kelly in the modelling industry?   I think there is a well known modelling person in Calgary named Kelly Streit.  Not sure of the spelling.  That person runs a well respected model and talent recruiting agency.  Maybe check that?  Good luck.  Steve

Hi Collen,

Thanks for acknowledging my efforts.  I hope it all pans out and we get the "Party of a lifetime!." I too hope you  remember lots of people, but if you don't,  just re-meet everybody over again,  it will be just as fun. See you there. Regards, Jane Himmelman

We will need easy to read name tags or lapel stickers, with both married name and original family name.  And possibly even a poster of original grad pictures, to help our memory.  Come one, come all.  Don't be afraid to show our battle scars of life.  We can call it a push, pull or drag event.  I wonder if someone will come in drag?  Everything is acceptable now adays.    No one gets hurt.

I am loathe to suggest this because I do not have the technical ability to help out. I still have my mother's name tag from her highschool reunion. It had a photograph of her from the yearbook attached to her name....for all of us that might have changed a wee bit!

I totlly agree with Liz.  Her idea is what I was trying to think of.  Perhaps the WCHS Alumni office could help?  Or the communications and public affairs office of the City of Calgary?  At City Hall.  Or just take a copy of the old yearbook to any printer and they will do the project.  Laminate name cards on a string.  Something like that.  If the printer can't do it, they will know another company that can.  The yearbook will not be returned, as it will get cut into pieces, so be sure it is an extra copy.  Or you can choose a simpler design concept.  But a printer is the first stop.  The Alumni office would have a list of contractors who are favorable.  Maybe even one of our graduates can refer for the jobs we need done.  Just a thought.    Steve

Coop, Ernie we got this. Martin had already looked in to this problem at the very brginning. I just didn't know about it. Sometimes the wife is the Last to know. But generally he is more on the working techno side than I. Anyhow, the site literally has a name tag centre which will print every name off with grad pictures. Problem? No one has put a grad picture on here except for Rosemary and I. So what's the solution for that?

Jane

Looks wonderful.  Someone take a yearbook to Staples and have them scan all the pictures into the website.  Costs a bit, however collect donations at the event.  Many people will contribute.  These events are usually a fundraiser for the Alumni Association.  How about offering a silent auction table.   classmates can bring an item of their personal choice or work piece, and donate it to the auction to benefit the alumni association.  A little bit of advertising for any of the services that classmates might offer.  Keep it family friendly.

WHO DO YOU REMEMBER FROM KING EDWARD GRADE 6.  MY FIRST DATE WAS WITH LARRY (SITTING BEHIND THE SIGN AND BESIDE KATHY BUCHAN) . WE WENT FOR A HAMBURGER. KATHY AND HELEN PAWLUK GAULIN (THE FASHION DIVA IN THE HOT PINK TIGHTS) ARE STILL GOOD FRIENDS.

I have that photo.  I remember Henry Klassen pushing me into some prickly caragana shrubs on a hillside on 29 Ave on the way home from school, he was a bully!

Hi Kathy,

I would be one of those. I married Gordon Murray, who also is part of our graduating class.

On a sad note, about six years ago, I received an email out of the blue from Leonard Gurvitz, who I had not heard of since high school.  He was living in California. Before I was able to respond, he passed away.

Hi Denise, thanks for posting. I was looking for Leonard's name the other day and didn't see it. Was wondering about him, so sad to learn of his death.

on the bottom row I think the ? was Jennifer.

I hope I am right.

See you soon!

Rosie

I remember running into Kelly but she was not with MODE (Kellty Streit's agency).  She wasn't with Creative Associates where I went.  She may have been with Falconer, I can't remember.  Patti Falconer has always had a lot of successful models like Kelly.

Just want to say thank you to Janie and Martin for all your time and effort in organizing a great reunion and for the website. We really enjoyed the talents of
Dame Edna and Susan and Anna and Jamie. I must say that Madge was also outstanding. Thank you to Gail and Denise.

David Lawson did an excellent job of the video and photos and it was a real gift to all of us that is much appreciated.

It really was wonderful to see so many familiar faces after all these years.

Yes, indeed. Thanks to Jane and Martin for herding our motley crew of cats together and creating a cool commune online and on the patio. Kudos.

Cam was thinking he could assist in throwing me into the pool.  And now in hindsight I wish I had stepped up to the idea.  That would have made a big splash for the pool side party.
