Saturday night was a blast! Thanks! to Terri,Gail,Kenny,
Tyron and the gang. Stacy and I had a great time!
It was wonderful to see everybody again, and you know
it felt more like a family reunion than a class reunion
after all when you spend every day together for 4 to 12
years you kinda' become family. Can't wait to do it again.

Hello everyone,
I'm sure most of us are back at work on this cloudy and already hectic Monday. But, as this particular week begins many of us who were lucky enough to attend the reunion are smiling and remembering the fun we had this past weekend reliving old times and making new memories with our fellow classmates. What a fabulous reunion!!! I think this may have been the best one yet! I'd especially like to thank Teri, Kenny, Gail and Tyron for their hard work and my classmates who have supplied me with tons of new memories that will continue to make me laugh for the next 10 years. It was so great to see everyone again and have time to visit/catch up! I adore each and everyone of you and wish you all many blessings and the best of luck until we meet again!!
Huge Hugs!! Jen Thomason :)

The whole week-end was phenomenal, just kept getting better and better. I cannot say enough to express appreciation for all of the planning and work that went into all of this. This web-site and the constant e-mails and updates made it happen.

I have for many years lived in another world from CHS and Calhoun '73 thru '79. I had this problem that led me to say all or nothing, if I couldn't stay in Calhoun forever, I couldn't go back there. This reunion will change that for me. There are so many of you that I love so much.

I will see Kenny sing in Chattanooga, I will follow Thunderbolt Patterson like a groupie. I will come to Calhoun more often. I will bring my wife so she can get to know all of you as well.

Thanks again to everyone who planned and provided this. Thanks to everyone who participated as well. It was all so wonderful.

Hey everyone.....Sounds like everyone had a great time. I wish I could have been there. I thought about ya'll all evening. I got on the site Sunday just to see how it went. Maybe I can be there for the next one. It's been so much fun to read about everyone and what's going on in your lives. I've loved the website so thanks to Kenny and all the others who gave their personal time on this.

Hello everyone!!! I really enjoyed seeing you at the Reunion this weekend. I've enjoyed the website over the last few months...reading and seeing pictures of you and your families. Thanks to the ones who worked so hard to bring us all together. All the people that had to come so far, we really loved seeing you. We realize that some had great expense, time, and sacrifice to be with us. I hate that some were not able to come because we really missed you!! I think that everyone had a good time and that it was a great success. I'm wishing that we could all get together more often. Everyone take care...praying for all....good health, love, and happiness in your future!! Love you guys, Delessa

Andrea and I had a wonderful time this past weekend. It was great seeing everyone and catching up a bit. Also sharing some of life's tougher experiences with others that maybe you weren't so close to then and finding that those experiences create new bonds. Andrea enjoyed meeting everyone.

A big thanks to everyone who made the weekend possible.

Allow me to jump in on the love fest pile-on! Man, what an AWESOME weekend. It exceeded my expectations, I can't say enough about it. The only thing that would've made it better would be three or four more days to spend quality time with folks that I only got to chat with briefly! You know, you look up and the night's over (but not until about 5:00 AM for some of us...!).

I was overwhelmed by the turnout at the Thunderbolt Patterson show on Friday. Thank you all so much for coming out. The opportunity to play for my classmates after all these years was... well, quite honestly, the thrill of a lifetime for me. Kenny singing an Elton tune with us was icing on the cake. David and I play around north Georgia all the time, so don't be a stranger - hey, we can have mini-reunions! For those that asked, our show dates can be found here:

My sincere thanks to Kenny, Teri, Gail, and Tyron, as well as to all who attended. It was a truly memorable experience that will hold a special place in my heart for years to come. And yeah, I'm gonna have to join Freeman in making that trek up to Chattanooga...

What a great time! I thought hurricane Ike might keep us away but I'm so glad it didn't. It was so great to see all of you --- my husband even had a good time! I was so glad to see what amazing people you all have turned out to be--even the folks I didn't know as well in high school. My only complaint is not getting to spend enough time with everyone. Just let me know when and where the next reunion is, and I'll be there. God bless you all.

It's Tuesday and I am still at home trying to recover from the week leading up to our reunion. My feet will never be the same after dancing with Brad Burns (husband of Vickie Fox Burns).

I hope everyone had a great time and I know I can speak for the rest of the reunion committee that our gift to you guys was organinzing this thing but your gift to us was showing up and having such a magnificent time! I saw so many smiles that it warmed my heart and made me feel like I did back in high school when I was so surrounded by people that I cared about and I knew cared about me. Some people say that you can never go home....not here, you can always come home!

Thanks to Ned & Duke for saving the class emblem from the senior float so we can pass it on through the years. Thanks to Jimmy for creating this special piece of our history. I promise to take good care of it until next time.

Thanks to Tyron (always the voice of reason and my security blanket), Kenny (the comic relief), Gail (the logical, dependable one), Tonya (always willing to help with anything), and the table setup crew - Steve Freeman, Donnie Mealor, Jennifer & Steve Thomason (such great late night service was never more appreciated). Also thanks to Vickie Dodd, Robert Hayes, Janet Durham, Sherry Moore, Cindy Davis and others that attended the meetings and helped round up people.......Stanley Ray & Vic Bohannon, you guys really did a great job reaching the otherwise unreachable. Also thanks to Monica Pierson for letting Trey spend the reunion playing music for us rather spending it with her. Trey did a great job. Thanks to Jennifer Ferguson standing beside me while I broke the bad news to Ron Dobbs about the carpet mishap. And thanks to Cindy and Keith Knowles for helping with clean up on Saturday.

Please keep the website updated if you move or change your email address so we can stay in touch with you. If you run into classmates that we haven't seen or been able to contact, please give them the website address and encourage them to sign on.

Thanks for a great event....it took everyone of you to make it as special as it was.

Teri

Well, let me try this again! My message did not post! I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all who put our class reunion together. It was absolutely wonderful. I know you all worked very hard, and there is no way any of us can express how much we truly appreciate all you did. Just know that we sincerely do thank you for all your hard work and time. I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as Keith and I did. It was great to see everyone, and I wish more could have attended. To the ones who traveled so far to be here, thanks so much! I'm glad to know our class meant enough to you for you to make the trip. And for those close by that did not attend, you have no idea what you missed. I don't recall who said it, but I agree, it was more like a family reunion than a class reunion. Some of you I hadn't seen in 20 or 30 years, and yet, it seemed like old times. We truly had a great class, (all prejudice aside)! TIM BOWEN, you are AWESOME!!! You have a wonderful talent, and I hope Keith and I get to hear you again soon! Y'all please keep the website going. I know we will all get back into our everyday life now that the big event is over with, but this is such a great way to stay in touch and up to date with how everyone is doing. I love you guys! Until next time, and I hope it won't be too long. Those of us that are local, and I heard several that are two to three hours away, say that they would like to get together more often. Most of us are older now and the kids are grown, (except Shane, he's a late bloomer), so we should be able to get together some! OK! I'll close now. I got a little carried away! Anyway, Thanks Again and I love you guys! Cindy Knowles

Hi, everyone!
This by far has been the best reunion, ever!! I had the best time seeing everyone. I would not have even known a few of you without checking out your name tags first, LOL!! I hope there will be another reunion in 5 years instead of waiting ten. After the success of this one, maybe it will encourage more people to attend the next time. Although, we did have a pretty good turnout. I wish so badly that I could have made it to Rome Friday evening but had to get up early for a pancake breakfast at Long Horn's at 6:00 for a fundraiser. Otherwise, I would have definitely been there. Sounds like you guys that were there had a blast.
Again, thanks to Teri, Kenny, Tyron, and Gail for all your hard work. It really paid off. And to everyone else who contributed, thank you!!! Hope to see you all again very soon!

WOW- what a wonderful time my husband and I had seeing old friends and being home for a couple of days. I feel like so many others do - we should do this more often. Many thanks to all of you that worked so hard to put the weekend together. It is truly a great group of people with whom I had the good fortune to spend my high school years.

Kenny, Gail, Teri, Tyron and others that helped make it possible...you did a fantastic job.
To those that could not attend...you missed a great time and I hope you are able to come to the next one. And we sure hope that one is just 5 years away. We aren't getting any younger! lol

ok guys...a question...who were you most happy to get to talk to on the reunion weekend???
me? pam roberts ...of course...lol

Stephen Samples

Kenny,
The only way I could answer that would to pull the reunion sign in sheet and list all the names written there. It was great seeing everyone, and it tickled me to see D.A. Richardson and Reggie Glaze there. They were my 2 favorite Football Coaches, and D.A.'s class "Indians of the SouthEast Woodland's" made an impression on my life. Everywhere I've ever gone, I look for artifacts and research the history.
Hey Guys, as it has been said, we have become an interesting bunch of people. One negative though - My motto was always "Death before Disco".
Rock On,
Stephen

Hi, Kenny!
Boy, that's a tough question! There really isn't just one answer. I enjoyed seeing and talking with everyone at the reunion. Even people I really didn't know during high school would come up and talk and that's what made it all worthwhile. The atmosphere was so laid back and everyone had such a good time. So, to answer your question my answer would be "everyone", because everyone there was so special. And Stephen, "Disco Rules"! LOL!!! I enjoy rock, too! Remembering back in the days of Disco Mania in Rome just hanging out. My daughter's freshman class float theme was the 70's and 80's. We, (the parents), came up with the Village People for the kids to dress up in. Funny thing was explaining to the kids who the Village People actually were!

EVERYONE! A few may have stood out a little more than others but only because I see some more than others. If I Had to choose I guess with the guys Donnie,Steve Freeman,Scott & Michael Whittemore. Is that more than (lol)? The girls Teri, Jennifer Thomason & Holly.I voted for a reunion next year because of all the ones kicking themselves for not coming this year! By the way Kenny you can take me off the prayer list. I`m doing GREAT! Thanks again for ALL the prayers!
