Hey! I've been doing theatre forever -- got my BA from Brenau College in 1982, got married to a theatre guy, got my MA in Acting from University of Louisville, started teaching in some colleges (Gordon College, Georgia College), had some babies, and then we moved back to Gainesville (where I went to college). In the last three years, I divorced that guy but kept my job, got my MFA in Playwriting (Spalding University) and wrote a bunch more plays.

Now, I'm Director of WonderQuest (a theatre for young audiences), teaching at Brenau University, and directing, acting and writing plays for The Gainesville Theatre Alliance. BOTH my children have degrees in theatre (well, they were homeschooled -- what else are they going to do? ;-) My daughter Amelia has her MFA in Acting from University of Houston and has been a professional Shakespearean actor for the last two years; my son Connor is in his last year of an MFA in Acting from Florida Atlantic University, and is a professional Fight Choreographer.

Amelia just got married in May, and currently lives in Houston (though travels through her acting all over the country).

My mother is still on the farm in Calhoun.

School Story:

I will have to think about this one . . . .

The advantage to having a beautiful actor for a daughter is that photographers like to take amazing pictures of her! ;-)
