Bruce Belin

It has been an interesting few years. Left Camden after graduation went to the Air Force began police career. Was stationed in North Dakota, Turkey, Texas, remote Alaska, Arkansas then got out in 1984 and returned to Camden and spent 5 years at the Camden Police Department, 2 years teaching at the police academy and 2 years working for Ben Garner when he was sheriff. I met Kim while my parents were in Missouri, we got married while I was in the Air Force. Kim always wanted to move back closer to her family in Independence so we moved to the Springfield, Missouri area and I became a Police Investigator for the Nixa Police Department. Since in Missouri I have worked 8 years for Nixa, (6 as chief of police) 2 years for Stone County Sherriff, and 4 years as Chief in the Big city of Crane (1500) I became a minister in 1995 and have been on staff at 3 different churches. I have been the Minister at the Crane Christian Church since 2003. It is complicated at times arresting, baptizing, incarcerating, fighting all the same people but we manage. Kim my wife has been a social worker since 1982, I have 2 kids in college, 1 kid that needs to be in college, and a 7th grader.
I still enjoy motorcycles and last year was awarded my Ironbutt award for going 1042 miles in under 24 hours. I still play music, and confine that mostly to the praise band at church.

2023 update: Still live in Crane, still at the church, started a LLC, working full time in Carroll County Sheriffs Office running the patrol division. Kim is still working and our Kids are all grown and doing well. Blessed.

2025 update: Back as a Captain at Stone County Missouri, running the CID unit. All is well. Busy but having fun.

I slept a lot in high school. Thank you for the smart people that sat in front of me on test day....
