With Thanksgiving weekend now being the focus, various tasks were assigned to get banquet hall prices, catering costs, hotel room rates, D.J and videography costs along with discussions on format, any speeches, party favors..etc. However, The number one concern is still to contact missing classmates!! Efforts are being made locally to track down people but everyone's help is still needed. Please do whatever you can to get in touch with anyone who is not updated on our website. The next meeting will be 4/24/08 @ 7:00pm at John Elias's office again(Thanks John). Come join us if you can, any and all help is appreciated. Keep checking this website for updates and messages. Thanks for everyone's cooperation!

Mike did a very good job of summing up the meeting, it was very nice to see everyone that showed up. He is also very right in saying that we need everybodys help finding our classmates. If you know where someone is tell them about the site, if they already know about the site pester them until they get posted. The more people that get involved the better. If I can be of help please let me know.
Mark

OK, first of all there will be no more references to any band towers, that was all propaganda and it never happened. Joe Peet what is up with the pair of little yippie dogs - your a State Champion - get a Rottweiler. Someone send Jacobs the Cure tickets. Donchess your kids seem smarter - go Steelers. Oldfield, I think home plate is still there (thanks Paul), but why Uncle Mo - that's just disturbing. I should have said this 24 years ago, Candi Moyer you are hot, dont tell your husband. And who is living in Italy, I would have guessed Emidio. I look forward to seeing anyone who can show up.

1st of all Meshula, I can't wait to vandalize your car when I get back to town, that always stirs up the good memories. Maybe Sicky, Timmy & I will throw on some Seger, gather some fire extinguishers and various gardening tools from the Klein's garage and get after it.

As far as band towers, wiffle ball and some of the other incidents mentioned, I have no recollection, I believe most of those were just hear-say and speculation. As for the name, "Marc" became "MO" in the mid-90's when I lived in Pittsburgh working at MEllon, and it seems like little kids have a much easier time saying it (could be due to the whole Elmo thing but some others on here with rug rats of their own would be able to confirm). Odd because it was always "Odie" or "Oldie" back in the Canfield days, then "Otis" when Hollern jacked up the elevator in Smith Hall and almost made Jeff piss himself. Now I respond to just about anything, and when people call me "marc" my friends down here are like "who's that?" Weird how that works.
On the court, Mo Skills, playing poker, Mo Ca$h---and if you ever read the Onion, Smoov Mo...act like ya know now

Gotta admit, coming back and looking up everyone i grew up with, hearing all the stories and seeing the different directions everyone went is nothing short of euphoric. Those memories seem like yesterday, hard to believe that much time has passed so quickly. I hope everyone and there family's are doing well, and will make plans to make the 20th year reunion.

All right...has anyone actually gotten anything accomplished over the past few days with all the activity on this site or are we all just spying to see what everyone has put in their profiles?

Who would have thought that in the 20 years since we graduated, Canfield would A) Have hotels and B) Be wet?

04/30/08 11:34 PM #29

David Ferren

Holy shit, Canfield isn't dry anymore!? When the hell did that happen?

05/01/08 08:03 AM #30

Jacqueline Vrabel (Martin)

To be perfectly honest? I wholly believed that 20 years later we would be flying in saucers ala The Jetsons cartoon! haha

... aaaaaaaaaaaaand that Canfield would STILL be dry! haha

05/01/08 05:58 PM #31

Dominic Strollo

Canfield, wet? What did you expect when you've got Ricky Tarasuck, Mark Meshula, and I believe at one point Brad Rimmel as part of Canfield's finest...just kidding guys...we had our share of fun on more than one occasion. Mark...can you get me a "get out of jail free" card when I'm driving back home?

05/01/08 07:07 PM #32

David Ferren

Hey Dominic, I don't think you'll be getting any "get out of jail free" cards anytime soon. You may give them to "family" members.

Cinco De Mayo Reunion meeting: J. Elias, M. Koenig, T. Kay(Kalina), M. Antalocy(Quirk), J.Dahman, M. Watkins, H. Windt, D. Bennett(Kabetso) Things were a little fuzzy after shots of Tequilla and numerous Margarittas but I believe the Reunion is still at Tippecanoe Country Club on Saturday November 29th. The event will still commence at 6:00pm till ??? The menu will be posted soon.
Hotel rooms are still being looked into along with limo/shuttle services for the event. The "Reunion Details" section will be filled out soon with more detailed info about our event as things progress and I won't have to ramble in this forum section. If anybody has any questions or suggestions about this thing please e-mail or call any one of the people listed in these minutes and we will talk about it at the next meeting. The next planning meeting will be sometime in June, date is not yet determined. We are seeing about outdoor bar/office meetings in the summer months.:) Please keep trying to find people!! There are some classmates still not involved on the website yet and may not know anything about this event. Keep checking the site for meeting info and thanks again for everyone's help!! Pop-Pop-Boing!!!!

@ the tenth year reunion, when Mary Althouse walked in? My ex-husband leaned over and whispered into my ear, "I bet SHE was a cheerleader!"

**smile**

Mary? You are a SWAN!

I just wanted to share this awesome perspective with my classmates!

xoxo

Hey everyone, John Mazzucco (singing, guitar), John Vecchione (bass) and I (drums) have been throwing the idea around about playing at the reunion for everyone. We've all been playing since HS and love jamming...and we had some questions:

1) We want to see if our fellow classmates are interested in hearing a 25-30 min set by us 3 goofs

2) and if so, which songs would you like to hear live? We'll narrow it to the most popular by the class (remember, we'd have to castrate Mazzucco if you wanna hear ACDC :)

If we hear that it's not a good idea, we won't take it personally, and will just have drinks with everyone! (which we won't mind at all!!!!)

You can email me privately through this site, or at this message forum, I'll be checking

Thanks!!!

Hey Asif, I personally would love to hear you! I think a mix of hair bands and monster ballads would be awesome, like '83-'89.

Asif

Go for it, just as long as you play GNR Sweet Child of Mine.

05/14/08 09:12 AM #41

I think it's a fabulous idea for you guys to play...whether I can make it or not. I am still an 80's hair metal freak...so that would definitely be my preference. Gotta play some Bon Jovi! Wasn't our class song Never Say Goodbye or some other Bon Jovi song? On the lighter side...you could always go with the local favorite, Michael Stanley Band...yes, the same group we all grew up and knew but when we moved away everyone was like "who the hell is Michael Stanley?". Any song that defines those years would be fitting (just listen to "The Wedding Singer" soundtrack).

...of course if you are gonna play, are you going to dress the part in typical cheesy 80's fashion (David Lee Roth, etc.)? Hell, I think we should all scrap the formal wear, make total embarrassments of ourselves and find some parachute or "pleather" pants, etc. and all come like that! Girls have to come with the "big hair"; (some of us can't do that anymore, although my employees got me a mullet wig for x-mas).

Anyways, songs from our generation would be great, especially our class song, but you guys should play some of your own stuff too. Play all night! I worked at Tippy for 13 years...we just give them a few extra bucks and they'll let us stay as long as we want, the employees hate it, but now I'm on the other side (I may still have my keys to the liquor room downstairs!)!

From the sounds of it and the interest already generated on this site, we should have quite the turnout and this could very well be the reunion in which all others fail in comparison! We WILL have fun...or else!

Rock the house! Let's get all those that live on Fairway drive to call the cops to say we are making too much noise...but if Mark and Ricky are already there, who are they gonna send?

I also think we should have that unwritten rule that applies in Las Vegas..."What happens at the 20 year reunion, Stays at the 20 year reunion!"

05/15/08 08:55 AM #43

Asif Khan

OK, so far so good, it's starting to seem like a good idea...big hair bands, ballads and rock-qua Net.

I'll have to sand down the pleather pants, lose 15 from my ass, and pray that I can still have children afterwards

Dominic, FIND THAT KEY!!!! :)

Let's hear some more ideas!
