Rachel Rogers Penland

After I graduated I worked at Personality Hair Salon, in Waynesville. I got on with Contel Telephone in Sylva, in 1987 and in 1991 gave up my job to stay at home with Leah. I was a stay at home mom till 2002 and got back into working as a Cosmetologist. I have been doing hair again for 8 years. I have a daughter Leah , 19 years old, in Alabama, in the Nursing program at Gadsden College. I also have a daughter Lila who is in the sixth grade. I met Donald when we worked together at Contel Telephone. We have been married going on 21 years. We are BLESSED.

My favorite memory was when my sister went to the prom with Joey Riddle. He had a white Tux on and was break dancing , doing the worm. I wondered what the Tux rental place thought when he took the Tux back. I have alot of good memories from our Cosmetology class. We had a good time.
