John Richie Osler of Carmel, IN, passed away this evening at 7:49pm, peacefully at home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Elnora Osler, and his sister, Cathie Reamer. He is survived by his nephew, Jim Reamer.

John graduated from Butler University in 1974. He worked in Indianapolis radio at WIBC and WNAP, focusing on sports broadcasts with Jerry Baker and Bob Lamey. He also worked with Lamey on Indianapolis Colts radio broadcasts.

Per John's wishes, no formal services will be held, but there may be something informal. He would like for memorial contributions may be made to Butler University's broadcasting department.  

On a personal note, thank you to those who called and/or visited.  He appreciated each of those instances.  It was good to put faces with names, and it was good to see people I met when I was a kid.  

Thank you to Nancy Sumner, Cindie&April, Dave, Gail and Linda Duffy for sitting in with him, as well as my grandparents' long time neighbors, Rick and Anne.  Cousins, friends, neighbors.
