20 years reunion?! That can't be right-you guys can't be that old.
After high school I earned a civil engineering degree from Notre Dame. Go Irish! More importantly, I met my future wife, Helen. (She attended St. Mary's College, which is also in South Bend, Indiana.) She's a Missouri native so I had to explain to her "Little Egypt" was a real place.
We dated long distance for a while while I was in Chicago and she earned a masters in health administration at Xavier in Cincinnati.
After marrying in 1995, we lived in Chicago for a year before moving on to Boise, Idaho. It was a great place to hike and ski but we got homesick for Midwestern humidity and mosquitos. We moved on to St. Louis so I could attend graduate business school at Washington University.
We lived in University City and then Edwardsville, Illinois while I worked at a regional lumberyard. Somehow we ended up with 3 kids. Maybe I wan't paying attention during Mr. Mattingly's Science Films.
Anyway, another work move and the 5 of us are in a suburb of Kansas City. I'm the general manager for a wholesale lumber company. Helen manages everything else. The kids dominate our social life with soccer, swimming, basketball, math quizzes, etc.
