Kris Goers Reed passed away on September 25, 2024. According to her daughter's Facebook post "A celebration of life will take place at a future date in Tucson as that was her favorite place and truly her home."

Kristine Anne Reed (Goers), 73, recently of Las Vegas, NV passed away peacefully at her home on September 25, 2024, after a year-long battle with ovarian cancer. Kris was surrounded by her family and close friends.

Kris was born March 15, 1951, in Elgin, Illinois, the daughter of the late Edwin John Goers and Marilyn Mae ( Gustafson)Goers

She spent her early years in Dundee, IL, graduating from Dundee Community High School in 1969, and then went on to Southern Illinois University.

She moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1983 and quickly determined she was home. She worked in property management in both Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona. She was well respected in her field, chairing multiple committees, serving in several board and instructor positions within the multihousing association and received multiple awards and accolades for outstanding performance in her field. After retiring in 2014, Kris shared her time between Phoenix and Las Vegas where her daughters reside.

Kris loved all kinds of music- Andrea Bocelli, The Beatles, The Who, Nelly, Eminem (to name a few) and everything in between. She loved the water and could usually be found spending summer days reading one of her many books on her pool lounger or traveling to the beaches of Cabo and Maui. She enjoyed spending much of her time visiting with friends and family, especially her three grandsons. She was kind, generous, a wonderful friend, and loved her family unconditionally.

Remaining to cherish Kris’s memory are her children, Brooke Mogensen (Bryan) and their children Jack and Jason, and Kate Barber (Steve) and their son Jake; her brother Jim Goers (Karen), sister at heart, her cousin Linda Wright (Gary); and her nieces and nephews, Nick (Ashlee), Maddie, Cassie (Hunter), Lindsay, Tyler, Ben, Luke, Kyle and many cherished grand nieces and nephews.
