Wow! Have we lived at such a historic time? First, the cultural changes of the 1970s' & 1980s' and now a pandemic! I still love DCI Drum & Bugle Corp contests; always attend a St. Louis and the nationals' show (thx to Mr. Heffron). When teaching, I usually did some type of extra curricular activity, like judging speech & debate competitions or coaching a Special Olympics team, that made me appreciate all of the time and effort that the DCHS teachers gave to us so freely. I have to explain to today's youngsters that girl sports didn't exist when I was in HS (sorry Miss Abrams). They think I am a dinosaur. The child has grown up to be a nurse practioner in Kansas and is happily married to a CPA who is a dyed in the wool Republican who thinks that Reagan was the greatest president ever. Where did I go wrong? While I can't speak any language other than English (sorry Mrs. Potter), Amanda speaks 7+ languages fluently. Hope that you all have had an awesome life since DCHS.
That miserable protest when the guys were objecting, outside of school, about having to get haircuts after a review by Coach McIntosh in PE class. I was covering it for the newspaper (BIG news - our 1st protest). Then Mr. Wynn locked all of the doors and I couldn't get inside! Everybody got detentions for weeks, except the powers-that-were decided a girl shouldn't serve it with all of those 'bad boys'. So I got sent to regular detention while the bad boys would serve 10 minutes and then be let go by the teacher who didn't want to supervise them in the 1st place. I recall walking home, by myself, every night at 5pm, wondering why DCHS didn't honor the 1st Amendment. Don't even remember if the story made the school newspaper.

Happy Birthday, Jim!! Have a healthy, happy year. You deserve it!
Happy Valentine's Day to all who stuffed my decorated shoebox in elementary school and/or danced with me at school events for the holiday. I can remember a select few of the handsome males who made my heart flutter; I would pour over those Valentine cards to decipher if the message meant unrequited love forever. Cathy Sinclair-Brown told me that 'old people love' is the best. Hope that it is true for all!

Happy 71st birthday, Spooky!!! you always had the easiest birthday to remember. Please have a slice of Chicago pizza for me - I miss it. St. louis pizza is ickky.
Happy 70th Birthday!! Being 70 years doesn't seem to be as much fun as being 20 years-I move slower and the body seems to have more aches and pains. At least I have survived my first pandemic so far, even though rural Missouri believes it is a hoax. I wear a mask just to piss them off! May you have a healthy and happy 70th!!!!!!
Ginger, you look so much like your mother that it brings back a flood of childhood memories when I see your pixs. How is life in TN? Whatever happened to all of those Jacobs' kids that we grew up with?

Cathy, you now look so much like your mother, Dawn (from what I remember). It brings back a flashback of memories as I see your pixs. It is so hot in Missouri today that I wish I was at your families' cabin in Wisconsin and could jump in the lake! It was so much fun to visit there in the summer.
So sorry to learn of Craig's passing, condolences to his family and to all whose lives he touched.
Hi Marsha, hope all is well with you! Believe it or not, I just was just telling Jim this morning that it was your Birthday before I gotta t the notification. It’s one of the things I remember about our childhood days. we sure had a lot of fun back then! Hope you’re having a Happy Birthday! From your old pal, Ginger
