Been married to Jim since 1972. Lived in the C'ville/Dundee area the whole time. Jim is a retired high school teacher and I retired from the East Dundee police department as a records clerk/chief's secretary.

Brian works at Abbott Labs. Adam received his MBA and works at Hewitt and Andy is in his 3rd year teaching Woods I & II & Engineering at Burlington Central High School.
School Story:

The thing that stands in my memory and what we dealt with compared to the kids of today was the strict dress code. Kids today would not believe it. Girls having to wear a dress or skirt, supposedly that touched the ground when you knelt and guys had to wear belts, no facial hair and their hair could not go over their collars. I remember the last week before graduation I had had it! I wore (horrors) coullottes! Every time a teacher walked by I would turn sideways!

Happy Birthday! Hope you and your family well. Mom is in nursing home in Elgin. We put her in Jan. 3. We had home caregiver service since Feb. Her long term insurance covered half, but found out her wonderful caregiver, whom we trusted and adored, got ahold of 3 credit cards. We never saw any bills as mom said she never used them so I never thought of checking. Turns out on her day off a Kohl's bill came for $1100. I checked others and one as $16000, over limit, too and another for $200. Dealing with police, fraud units, etc. Not too fun as they need FPOA before dealing, but that gets cleared up in a few days. Hope your mo is doing well. Have a great birthday and stay warm!

Well, we either wanted an ocean view or a mountain view when we retired and couldn't afford the ocean. This is from a few years back in January from our back fence and a rare view with snow atop the Superstition Mts. We are in a subdivision kind of like Del Webb, but are lucky to back up to custom homes with this spectacular view. In spring it is full of spring flowers. That is my favorite cactus. He is always happy to see me as you can see!
