Catherine Stout Grunden

After graduation, I went to OU for a few years and then took a break for financial reasons. I met my husband Jamie in Cleveland in 2004 and moved to his town of Defiance (kind of near Toledo) two weeks later. We were married in 2006 and I became an instant mom to his daughter and son, who live with us half-time. I don't think I could have had a daughter of my own and have her be more like me than Jamie's daughter already is. I had my first baby on October 3, 2008. His name is Elijah, and he's already a handful. I'm planning to leave my job as a nursing home activities director to stay home as long as it is financially possible. I'll finally be finishing my degree in education at the same time and plan to begin teaching when Elijah begins school.
