After graduation, I attended Panola and graduated from Lamar University (Lamar Tech) Began my teaching career in Humble ISD, Kingwood, and retired from Carthage ISD after 32 years! I taught Spanish( thank you Mr.Wooley )and Drama-Speech( thank you Orita Morrison! Beginning in 2000, I wrote and directed the Senior Play. For a total of 12 years I had the joy of creating lasting memories for the Senior Class...directing and writing "their" senior play!

No, music was not original. I used the most famous hits of the 50's, 60's , and 70's. For 5 years, I started and directed a Senior Adult Ukelele band! With 40+ Senior Adults from the ages of 60-82, we traveled to Washington DC and all points in between! It is still one of my most cherished of memories!

Jim has 4 children, 3 girls and one boy! Between them they have 11 children with one set of twins!

Travel! Most incredible trip was 15 days in Italy- renting a car- catching the trains - riding in gondolas and boat taxi in Venice. Driving all over Tuscany area , staying in bed- in breakfast, and agriturisimos. Taking a 7 day cruise to points in Mexico and Jamaica. Traveling in our motorhome to Colorado, Mackinac Island in Michigan, North Carolina and Chicago ( and states in between!) A cruise to Alaska!
