Jeffery Auston Sturgell, 25, Purdy, passed away Friday, June 23, 1995, as a result of a car accident. He was born June 9, 1970, in Aurora, the son of Auston and Meta Harris Sturgell. He married Laurie Pettengill on April 2, 1994. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Taylor Jo Sturgell of the home, his parents, Auston and Meta Sturgell, grandparents, Mary Dora Sturgell, Cassville, and James and Helen Harris, Galena, two brothers, Jason Sturgell and Justin Sturgell both of Aurora. Two sisters, Tammy Henry, Washburn, and Tracy Sturgell, Aurora, nine aunts and six uncles. Mr Sturgell graduated from Cassville High School and lived in Barry County all his life, where he farmed. He had been employed with Georges for five years and was employed the last one and a half years with EFCO. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 26, in Fohn Funneral Home. The Rev. Doyle Russell conducted the services. Burial was at Clio Cemetery at Jenkins.
