It saddens me to tell you that our friend and fellow bandsman Tim Loder  died suddenly and unexpectedly of cardiac arrest.  This occurred in Oregon on January 8, 2014.  

I know that we all send our condolences to the Loder family.

Tim lived in Springfield, Oregon.  He was a Castro Valley High School graduate, Class of 1961.  He was part of the Advanced band, Dance Band, and played in the Derbies jazz ensemble. Many of us remember him as a good fellow and fine saxophonist.

Tim requested a New Orleans style send-off, so an 8 piece band with Gene Graves on drums gave Tim a fond farewll on Saturday, May 24.
