Cedar City, Utah

(March 30, 1944 - June 21, 2013)

Sherry Diane Barton - Harrison, 69, of Cedar City, Utah returned to our Heavenly Father, on June 21, 2013. She passed away peacefully at Dixie Regional Medical Center after many years of illness.

Sherry was born in Cedar City, Utah on March 30, 1944 to Elizabeth "Beth" (Craw) & Lyle Barton. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and a wonderful friend to many. Sherry loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was very kind hearted and loved to make others laugh. As a child, Sherry's father was in the Navy, and she lived in Kansas, California, Hawaii and Japan before settling in Cedar City, Utah. She graduated from Cedar City High School and then became a bookkeeper and later, a homemaker.

Sherry is survived by her three children, Lyle Murray (Connie) Harrison of Williston, ND; Ember Beth Harrison of St. George, UT; and Merrill Barton "Crusher" Harrison of Cedar City, UT. Sherry also leaves behind five grandchildren, Chanc Sterling (Kayleigh) Jensen of Cedar City, UT; Reed Merrill Harrison of Cedar City, UT; and Bryce Lyle, Whitney Lynn, and Kyle Levi Harrison, all of Williston, ND.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Lyle Barton; and former husbands, Merrill Harrison, and Mark Thompson.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 28 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Rock Church located at 75 East Center in Cedar City, and will be followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Cedar City Cemetery immediately following the Funeral Service. A light meal will be served at the Rock Church immediately following the Interment.
